While Companies Punish States Over Abortion, Wendy’s Focuses on Adoption

It’s really nice to see that at least one company can put their efforts toward a cause greater than whether or not a state allows you to kill your unborn baby. That company is Wendy’s, and unlike businesses such as United Airlines, Disney, and Nike, they think it’s more important to put kids into loving homes than it is to support a woman’s “constitutional right” to have an abortion.

In saner times, this would hardly be a remarkable thing to say about a company. But these are not sane times, and as such, Wendy’s deserves respect for staying out of the immoral garbage culture that so many companies are eager to embrace.

Through their Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program, the restaurant is finding homes for “difficult-to-place” children who are otherwise condemned to become wards of the state. Focusing on those children who are older or have disabilities that make them hard to place, the initiative gives these children a head-start on the adoption process. Additionally, the company has rolled out Cause Cups, which feature a Snapcode that will allow customers to donate to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption with a click of their phones.

“INSTEAD of supporting the sick for-profit abortion industry of Planned Parenthood THIS is what big corporations should be doing for America. Bravo @wendys,” wrote Catholic Connect on Instagram.

Countdown to leftists boycotting Wendy’s for failing to support “women’s rights” in 3…2…1…

In an interview with Columbus Monthly, the president of the Foundation said that they were focused on bringing their Ohio-based efforts to the entire country.

“For the past four to five years now, we have scaled Wendy’s Wonderful Kids across Ohio,” said Rita Soronen. “We’ve seen more than 330 adoptions finalized across the state. We know that it’s about $3 million a year to keep this program scaled in Ohio. Since we’ve had the program in Ohio, we’ve saved the state $64 million.”

Wow, putting kids in loving homes AND saving the taxpayers money? That sounds like the very epitome of the liberal’s nightmare.

Good job, Wendy’s. While the rest of these left-wing companies are destroying our culture with their “social justice” crap, you’re actually doing some good in the world. We can’t thank you enough.

  1. Kudos to Wendy’s! Doing something positive with positive results all the way around! Pro choice has become nothing more than convenient birth control and for profit tissue mills. This country should be ashamed of itself for even considering either.

  2. I cannot eat or drink at Wendy’s due to a very bad experience I had with a sandwich and drink about 40 years ago. My brain won’t let loose of the experience. However, if I can find a way to support this, I will.

  3. Wow! Can’t eat there because something that happened 40 years ago. When I was a child my mom and dad took me to the beach where we went several times a year. It was on the Chesapeake Bay. I was probably 10 years old. They got me a Good Humor I’ve cream bar. I was eating it and about half way through it when I noticed something black or brown in it. It was a larger roach. My.parents told the owner of the beach and he gave me a another ice cream. I ate it and still ate Good Humor Bars. Still do and I’m 70.

  4. I was moved to tears of gratitude as I was reading this. Having had five miscarriages before I had my four living children, I recall the deep sadness my husband and I felt at the loss of these unborn babies. Our current society is out of their minds if they think there will be no adverse effects to this evil murderous act of abortion. I am 84 years old now and am still reminded of these lost babies, even when I relish the wonderful living children I have, as well as the 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. The careless, casual, sexual activity that goes on today will be a scourge on the mental health of many as they mature and have the haunting facts of what they did consume them. The chickens always come home to roost.

  5. Wendy’s… AWESOME!! will now be my favorite hamburger place. Thank you, Wendy’s. We need more big business like you. No more Nike, Disney or Disney movies, or United Airlines, and any other business that favors abortion.

  6. Go Wendy’s. Love their food too! I cannot understand why these women are having so much “unprotected” sex. My liberal daughter and her friends keep giving me percentages on birth control that fails. But come on! Millions of oops! Sounds fishy to me. And cases of women who have had multiple abortions! Disgusting! These kids have way more birth control options than I had in the late 70’s when I was young and having my children. No excuses! It’s selfishness, laziness and brain washing by liberals who have changed the language. Ex: “A Women’s rights to choose.” What about the women in the womb you are aborting? Do they get a choice? A “baby” ( notice I do not refer to a baby as a “fetus”) at 12-13 weeks gestation is as long as the tip of your middle finger to the palm of your hand, excluding the arms and legs. That is a fully formed “person.” ( not any other word the left chooses) Another way they get around the words. The legal definition of a “Person” and their rights does not apply to a “fetus” or even “human.” See how sneaky they are with language. I learned all this from an ex-abortionist. Weird. But the Bible says that “The god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of them who would believe in Christ”. And some day they will be accountable. But God… merciful to those who call upon His Name and appropriate the blood atonement.

  7. Wendy’s has taken the FIRST step. Great decision! The pro-life supporters should be lined up to adopt these kids. It’s time for pro-life supporters to put their money where their mouth is and take financial responsibility for the “lives” they save.

I am not neither pro-life or pro-abortion. I do not feel that God or the government has given me the right to decide how someone else is to live their life.

  8. Some people are concerned about providing their lawyers with their keys, but including cryptocurrencies in estate planning is important for ensuring that their loved ones will have access to them after they pass away.
