If Hillary Had Been Replaced, Would Dems Have Won the Election?

Among the shocking revelations from former Democratic National Committee chair Donna Brazile’s new book is this tidbit: After Hillary Clinton took a header at a September 11 memorial event last year, she seriously considered replacing her with another candidate. Concerned that Hillary’s campaign reeked from the “odor of failure” and that the woman at the top of the ticket might be too frail of health to finish out the election, Brazile looked at other candidates who might step in and finish the race.

In the book, Brazile writes that she brainstormed more than a dozen combinations of Democrats who might be able to step in and replace Clinton and running mate Tim Kaine. She ultimately settled on Vice President Joe Biden with running mate Sen. Cory Booker as the team most likely to be able to defeat Donald Trump in November. After coming up with the replacement squad, however, Brazile says she was unable to pull the trigger.

“I thought of Hillary,” she writes, “and all the women in the country who were so proud of and excited about her. I could not do this to them.”

Brazile’s explosive revelations brought a sharp rebuke from more than 100 former Clinton campaign aides, who responded with an open letter saying they “do not recognize the campaign she portrays in the book.”

“We were shocked to learn the news that Donna Brazile actively considered overturning the will of the Democratic voters by attempting to replace Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine as the Democratic Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees,” the letter states. “It is particularly troubling and puzzling that she would seemingly buy into false Russian-fueled propaganda, spread by both the Russians and our opponent, about our candidate’s health.”

Well, we feel awkward defending an abject fool like Donna Brazile, but it wasn’t Vladimir Putin’s troll armies that put Hillary Clinton on the sidewalk at that 9/11 event; she did that herself by trying to lie about her pneumonia. And there were grave and serious concerns about her health at that time, and they certainly didn’t come from the Russians. This letter reeks of the same arrogant blind-spots that cost Hillary the election in the first place. Astute readers will recall that all the talk about the primaries being rigged was supposed to be Russian-fueled propaganda as well.

So all that said, what would have happened if Brazile had followed through on her instincts and replaced Hillary Clinton with Joe Biden? Could Biden have pulled home the victory? Could he have defeated Trump?

We’ll never know, but we strongly doubt it. Biden isn’t as popular as his fans make him out to be, and one of Clinton’s most glaring weaknesses was that she was unable to distinguish what her presidency would bring to the table other than a “third Obama term.” If anything, that would have been an even greater liability for Biden. Launching a campaign from scratch less than two months out from the vote…that probably wouldn’t have turned out well, either.

As it happens, we’re glad that it didn’t play out that way because we’re quite happy with the way things turned out. But hey, if Biden wants his shot, 2020 is coming up quick. Good luck, buddy. Any Democrat running under these conditions is going to need it.

The DNC is the most hateful organization in the U.S….they ooze hate toward everything American, and do not oppose walking hand in hand with other haters, all of who demand “equality”.Look for the DNC to morph into “mainstream America” at the 2020 election. The insane extremism will go back under the rock that they came from. Many Americans will fall for the ruse, refusing to believe that their beloved party of yesteryear became what they are today. The forgotten, working middle class has rejected the DNC and the “flipping” of this great country.Even the term “flipping” is repulsive to mainstream America. The flipping of America needs to be put under the microscope and reviewed by all.The uninformed voter needs to understand the consequence of casting a vote toward the DNC. Hate comes in many shapes and sizes. It even comes in many colors.

    • Kenneth Jones

It is going to have to be a major…..and I mean really major…..restructuring of the Democratic Party from top to bottom. It will necessitate cleaning out their present leadership by removing everyone and replacing them with honest and reliable people who place America’s interests and well-being above all else.

      • Kathryn Jordan

I agree 100% with you. I am not sure that Perez can restructure the Democratic Party with honest and reliable people who place America’s interests and well-being above all else. I know the DNC needs to tell Hillary to get lost

        • DAlnB41

I am with you on this Kathryn; I truly hope the party will get a leadership team that puts the nation adn the nations people first and foremost. That has nnopt been the intent or conspt of operations witin the Democaryc party leadership for a long time.
We keep hearing the derogatory comments about Democrats; the truth is it is not the Democrats but rather the radical Democratic party leadership who rather than do the jobs we expect them to do are allowing radical Left Wing financiers and drivers to push the party buttons. We have now seen that to be fact as the party was taken over by one of the most notable dishonest women in political history, a woman who had significant failures as a senator (voting on bills without reading them or even knowing what they said as she took other peoples word for it)) and ignored sound advice when it was suggested she put security at Benghazi and then later ignored it again (claims she never got the message) to put the security in place (mots people believe she disposed of the message along with those that FBI Director Comey allowed her to destroy before her emails were turned over to the FBI). We have seen the Democratic party leadership get worse and worse; the specific reason why I changed from the Democratic party ( in 2014 (after being a registered democrat since 1962); I got tired of basically being told what to believe, what to say, what to think, what to say and how to vote; and seeing things get worse and worse!
I believe Democratic voters age generally as American as GOP voters; The American people from both parties generally want the same thing; What Is Best For The Country and The American People – – that though does not seem to be the same for too many of our elected officials in Washington D.C. who seem to prefer standing in front of a T.V. camera and bad mouthing anyone and everyone who offers or suggests any efforts to fix our nations problems. Shumer and Pelosi have wasted millions and millions of Tax Dollars money while they stand in front of TV cameras with a squad size group of other elected democratic party representatives standing behind them bobbing their head and doing nothing but complaining and never offering suggestions on how to fix the mess left by past administration; the problems Trump inherited when he was elected president.

If they can not be a part of the solution they need to step aside and stop being a part of the problem; I am certain the democratic party has thousands of good men and women who would be happy to help fix our problems, IF the party would rid itself of Schumer and Pelosi!

          • Kathryn Jordan

I agree with what you said. If the Democratic party would become the “party of the people” rather than “party of politics”, I think people would feel better. I know that many people would like to see Pelosi gone from Congress (that includes me). I know this is a BIG wishful thinking, if Schumer and Pelosi could be part of the solution to fix our problems I know America would be happy. If those two cannot be the solution, they need to resign.

          • Kathryn Jordan

Agreed. Would be nice if they would be the “party of the people” rather than the “party of politics”

        • dorcus

George Soros and the communist party lead the democrat party! Did you really believe that Clinton ran it by herself! The money came from Soros who is trying to destroy the United States just as he has other countries! Perez is just another puppet like Obama and Clinton.

          • Kathryn Jordan

She probably had a small part (and I mean small) in leading the democrat party. Who is George Soros anyway? I really don’t know anything about this person.

          • David in MA

            Who is George Soros?
            Did you just wake up?

          • Kathryn Jordan

This was the first time I have heard the name “George Soros”. Who is he? I may not be that up to date in politics, so I don’t know everyone’s names like this person’s. So I am sorry if you thought my “innocent” question was an insult to you. I really don’t know who he is. All I would like is a little clarification.

          • David in MA

Type his name in the search line and be surprised at who and what he is.

          • Kathryn Jordan

Thank you. Is he the type of person who can buy a candidate like Hillary? I guess I am looking forward to reading about who he is.

          • Kathryn Jordan

thank you. Can’t wait to learn more about this person and understand why he is so evil.

      • John McPherson

Where will you find that in the democrat party????????

        • Kenneth Jones

In the ranks…….if you care enough to look.

          • KingDon

Problem is that, even if these people do exist in the ranks of either party, They’re not given access to funding and/or press exposure because in neither case do they follow the existing part platforms. And those platforms do not, in either case, reflect the desires of voters out here in mainstream America. They’re too busy padding their bank accounts and hanging on to political careers instead of representing the rest of us.

          • gvette

Yes, the DemonRAT party is rank, smelling!

      • eva

Remember to include in replacement, those (ie Hank Johnson, GA) who are fearful of Guam tipping over and such intelligent assumptions. Corey Booker (? Brasile wanted on tkt with Biden, real lefty), Elizah Cumming, Shirley Jackson-Lee, Maxine Waters, Queen Nancy Pelozi (really wonder how many millions she made due to her endorsement and rule changes to get BHO “vetted”), Howdy Doody Shirley ??? in Fla., and more.

      • David in MA

oooop’s, democrats are not honest and reliable by nature.

  • Kathryn Jordan

If the Hillary/Kaine ticket had been replaced with a Biden/Booker ticket, the election would not have been so ugly. The one thing that we would have heard about was Hillary’s email scandal all the time. The Democrats would have had a 50/50 chance with Biden/Booker instead of the 90/10 that we had last year with the Democratic ticket that was Hillary/Kaine. I only hope that the DNC learns a BIG lesson from last years screw up with ticket Hillary/Kaine ticket. Maybe they will choose better candidates without baggage like email scandal.

    • dorcus

There is NO democrat party! Read my post above!

    • John W.H.

No, they will not change anything, because they believe they are better than we the people !! What the ignorant, pompous, reprobates, fail to understand is that we the people are fed up with these little commie wantabes trying to destroy this country from within !! Every one of these elected clowns that take a oath to defend this country from all enemy both foreign and domestic and don’t have a clue about what that oath means need to be removed from office with extreme prejudice !! The democratic party is not your daddies democratic party, and they haven’t had a viable candidate since they killed John F Kennedy !!

      • Kathryn Jordan

I agree. The Democratic party has changed so much. My mother always told me that she voted for the “lesser of two evils” as the last person she “voted for” was John F. Kennedy. I know that LBJ was so power hungry so I would be surprised if he was behind the reason why Kennedy was assassinated. As a native Texan, I am ashamed to call myself a “native Texan” because of LBJ’s power hunger drive to be president. Who knows when and if the Democratic party will ever become the way it was when Kennedy was president. I hope it is soon; it will take time for the party to get their act together and realize that they have to become the “party of the people” and not the “party of politics” .

  • Joseph Nicholas Toth Jr.

I sincerely drought it. Too many voters were sick of the weak previous president. They didn’t care for the trashing of our country to other countries, and Obamacare .

  • Kenneth Jones

In any event, Joe Biden’s age (he’s in his late 70s) would’ve worked against him. He’s never really been especially popular, and that would’ve also have worked against him.

  • KingDon

With so many in mainstream America as fed up with Obama and angry about he and the Progressive/socialists attempts as overthrowing our form of government and the capitalistic system, it probably made little difference who they ran. But Clinton’s baggage and screaming into the microphones during the campaign certainly didn’t help their cause.

    • Rodzzz

They’re all screamers with all kinds of nasty baggage so it wouldn’t have mattered at all. They’re all cast from the same mold.

      • The Redhawk

        Communist mold that is.

        • Rodzzz

          True.

    • apzzyk

Until Reagan and his Supply Side (really just Adam Smith’s pure Capitalism, which did not work in the 19th Century with the mopolies and trusts) we had a workable mix of socialism and capitalism. If their was profit, the Capitalists would do it, but there were and still are things that are not profitable but are needed for the public good, that were done with the excess profits from the capitalists by the government. We would not have gotten the Hover dam, its water and electricity on a now Trillion dollar project that may not even be paid for today. No Vega, NO Phoenix or Tucson and No Southern Cal because of no water and no electrictiy. Capitalists was an already built market before they will produce. Without the cheap labor provided by ‘gust workers’ all of our winter produce comes from S. of the Border – look at your Produce Dept and even canned and frozen goods for place of origin. Without cheap migrant labor, no vegies from the Salinis Valley or even the area of the Salten Sea. Avacados no longer come from Fallbrook because of the drought so from Mexico – balance of trade problem due to xenophobia. I will agree with Clinton’s baggaage and would have prefered Bernie – we would be creating jobs by fixing our infrastructure and not having to buy materials from China for the Great Wall (that is BS).

      • Jim

You Sir ,are as full of shit as a Christmas Turkey. If you are as smart as you think you are, why don,t we see your name in print or on TV.?

        • Robert Uda

I agree with you, Jim. Apzzyk is all over the map with one humongous paragraph covering a half-dozen topics. He should split that long paragraph into four or five shorter paragraphs that are grouped into different topic areas. As it is, it sounds like a bunch of disparate run-on sentences amounting to gobbledygook.

          • Rodzzz

Nothing more than a whole lot of gobbledygook.

        • apzzyk

You have been reading the wrong scientific journals. I have been publishing articles for more than 40 years on how bad Supply Side economics and the blind anti-Socialism of rural areas have been, in effect, working against the best interests of rural communities, and my predictions were finally confirmed by the Bureau of the Censes a few months ago when the estimated total rural population fell below 10% of the total population, leaving some rural areas without the population to be self governing. In a county where the average age is over 65 without any live births in the country in over 20 years, the county is on the verge of collapse. We need programs to not only keep the rural population that exists in place, but to also find small industries that can attract new people. The only solution that I think might work is for the counties to float development loans since there are no government grants for rural redevlopment, and this would mean county owned businesses that would give the community a leg up, but being county owned, they would be socialism at work, and if or when someone in the private sector steps up to buy our the county and keep the small industry up, then it will be like what has happened before. One of the problems during the Great Depression was that there was not the consumer base for the electric companies to brine electricity to rural areas. The Government created the Rural Electrification Administration, put in the polls, strung the wires and got the electricity to the users. If there was a commercial buyer that would buy up the government property and continue doing the same, the infrastructure would be sold to the highest bidder. If there were no bidders, the Federal Government would create local admiinistrations for the delivery and just maintenance or even eventual improvement of the distribution system and turn the infrastructure over to them, so we now have rural REA’s with the A meaning ‘Associations’, which charge the electric consumers only the cost that they pay for the power, a little administative fee, and pass through the cost of maintenance and repair — are non-profits – which now supply electricity to rural areas at costs to the consumers generally less than the commercial companies chare in similar areas. This allowed for milking machines, large dairy farms, and even larger and better poultry raising facilities. If that chicken you will probably eat came from a small hen house like the one in my back yard rather than Tyrson, etc. it would cost you about twice the money. If you don’t like socialism, then only buy farm fresh (local) chickens and get all of the fun associated with removing its feathers, cutting it up, etc. My grandparents did that type of raising of chickens before they got electricity, and eventually sold off just their right to raise poultry to a large company because they really could not compete with them. My old chicken house became a wood shop, and I made more building cabinets than we ever made selling chickens and eggs without the manure issue. The large scale private sector only gets to work when the market is already there and recovery on investment and profit are almost immedidiate.

          • Medley Bogart

            full of manure

          • apzzyk

Check your ear canals and see if that brown stuff has a fecal odor. All alternatives must be considered on their merits with all possible outcomes fully considered. The great depression actually began in 1928 when the stock market crashed, but President Hover kept saying that if there was a problem that the private sector would take care of it, so by the 1931 elections and things had just continued to get worse, it took government intervention to try to put money back in the hands of people who would spend it – create demand because having a great supply that no one can afford to buy from does not do anyone any good. For example, now we are almost in the middle of Novemeber, and we are still seeing ads on TV for 2017 models of cars and light trucks and in driving by the dealers lots all we see are acres of 2017 model vehicles – enough to probalby last another full model year of sales. So we have the supply of new vehicles, but there is little to no demand. If the people who would want to buy a new vehicle now had more money to spend now they might not wait until the inventory is technically a year older when the prices will have to fall below the cost of making a new vehicle – not only no profit on any unit sold, but actually a loss. How long can the auto manufactorers and dealers last taking a loss on each unit sold? My retired friends have one vehicle that they would have liked to replace this year and another next year, so when the sale price falls as it the new ones still on the lots are still there in January and will have to sell as if they were used cars – 25% depreciation, they might just wait longer until desperation set in – buy a new tire and we will give you the vehicle they might go for it. Trump has talked about creating jobs, but existing ones all along the vechicle supply chain will have to go on unemployment when there is no demand for their products, and that involves lay offs of primary manufacturing jobs, each of which supports about 5 other jobs in the places where they are. If the auto worker is not getting paid, the retail clerk will not be able to sell enough product to keep being emplyed, and this goes all the way down the food chain. On the other hand if the money that we are giving away by tax cuts were kept to make highways wider and patch pot holes the construction workers would have the money to make the down payments on new or even used cars and trucks, and that would create the demand for new tires, fuel and other auto supplies. But we can’t have the government taxing the ones who can afford it the most to do this construction. We have been hearing how cutting taxes on the wealthy will create more and better jobs for the past 35 years, but over that period the percent of the population in the consumer class has fallen from 2/3 of the population to less than half. Does Supply Side really work? Do you want your tax dollars used to bail out the auto industry again. How about production control so that it won’t happen again?

          • The Redhawk

            Give it UP….

          • David in MA

Have you ever read the COMMUNIST MANIFESTO and the U N AGENDA 21?

          • apzzyk

Yes. I have also read and understood Das Kaital as well as Wealth of Nations – all are utopian, and in their pure form, both of these major economic theories have failed, and now we have Supply Side, which is just Pure Capitalism trying to be forced on the economy. The earlier failure in the US was after the Civil War when all of the private major buisnesses became mopolies and trusts. Carnagie controlled the steel industry, and could decide who to sell to, which restricted his potential competition, and so there was no need to inovate to sell his product, so he could save money and make and sell boilers that would not hold the pressure and would explode, and have to be replaced with the same product. The Rokefellers did the same with Standard Oil and could set the prices so high that they could control all of the business that had come to depend on them; Mellon and Chase controlled the money supply so they could loan or not depending on who they favored and could also set the interest rates – they were the National bank, but without the controlls that are in the constitution. Pure marxism also did not work, in part because of the absolute equality and the total sharing required – a world without money – so in Orwell we had some pigs are supperior to other pigs – did not work. One of the failures of Capitalism is the idea of the invisible hand of self- regulation – the Capitalists were expected to do that which was best for the most people regardless of whether it made a profit or not. What we have found in practice is that it only works when there is a rapid return on investment followed by profits. 10 years ago my city, Longmont, CO, wanted to attract more business and more workers ans saw that with fiber optic internet we could at least get offices and businesses to actually be built in this bedroom town for Denver and Boulder, and asked the established IPOs to provide this. No bids, so the taxpayers approved a bond issue, and the city built it, and it was finally completed in all of the existing city about a year ago – so for less than I pay for Comcast I can get the city owned and operated service (Socialism), and I can get it at the same rate as any other provider – Comcast charges a premium if you have more than a certain number of devices – so with the city services, all get the same basic service with unlimited devices. Comcast came by and gave me 3 times the services – premium cable, ground line and internet for half of what I was paying for half the services, so when my contract expires next year I will go with the city and get more for less – no profit. With this completion, we are attracting about 2,000 new jobs over the next 3 years – we must have close to 2,000 new apartment units built in the past 18 months, and are already getting jobs from Silicon Valley, which is full, with the one new 500 job factory opening next year. The taxes are increasing, with taxpayer approval, to cover the development of wider and better streets and highways, and more cops and fire houses. we know that we have become a city because a couple of months ago a woman was murdered in the WalMart parking lot about midnight. Neither of these economic systems are even mentioned in the Constitutionm so the form is form is for legislaion which can respond faster than Constitutional Amendments. Marx predicted that in an industrical soicety (not a big farm like Russia) that the Capitalists would force a popular revolution because it did not treat workers well. We avoided this with our labor laws, which allowed for collective bargaining, so with the money from the early tax cuts of Reagan, and because of cheap sea shipping, our good paying industrial jobs went to where there were no labor laws and cheap labor, and then automation took away more jobs – CEOs still get large bonuses by cutting the work force and keeping wages low without regard to the welfare of the workers, so we have the rust belt. The reason why the coal industry has gone down is because the steel mills that used the most are not here anymore. We have been hering that if we cut taxes that this money would be used to build new factories here and create more jobs here, now repeated by Trump, but where in the hell are they? In our more adaptive mixed economy, particularly during the New Deal, The Govt borrowed money from and heavily taxed the wealthy because they were not perfoming as expected by Capitalism and did things to provide the basis for growth. The main highway running to and from town was not paved and ‘alll weather’, my grandfather got a contract to build cement bridges across the rivers and irrigation canals, and other compaines got the paving contracts, so new buisnesses moved to Longmont and my now dead neighbor began a freight line to bring goods from Denver to our local merchants, and until about 1969 actually had passenger trains that connected us with Denver and even Cheyenne. Passenger trains are gone, so all we have are freights, but are getting new passenger trains through our taxes to a Regional Transportation District – take passenger car off of the I-25 parking lot. Passenger transport will never even break even, so has to be subsized by the taxpayers. Our interstate highways were socialism at work – I 80 was built though NV, UT,WY, etc was built with money from NE taxpayers money, and so far kept free, except in IN and NY to keep the cost of getting goods to market as cheaply as possible. The New Deal put money in the pockets of the people who would spend it and buy goods that were profitable to the still wealthy and investor class. 35 years ago the consumers were 2/3 of the economy, and are now less than half. The consumer credit bill is over $1.5 trillion and without good paying jobs cannot go higher, so where will the profit be?

          • David in MA

Amazing, I ask a simple question and you respond with this. I have to thank you though, you have helped me better understand the old expression that if you can’t dazzle with brilliance baffle with bullshit.

          • EPGAH

Comcast has a disadvantage: They’re paid ONLY by subscribers, while the city is paid by taxes, which are collected whether they use or not. That’s why you can’t have public sector “compete” with private sector: They can MAKE the private sector pay to slit their own throats!
How is this different from the “Evil Trusts”? From Microsoft to AT&T to Time Warner, to the oil-companies (Another favored bogeyman), don’t they make people slit their own throats or not play at all?

You have, it seems, a vision of a completely Government-owned and operated America. Where will they get the money?
We HAVE been hearing that if we cut taxes, industries would come back. We’ve also been hearing that illegals would free Americans up for “Better Jobs”–which are promptly stolen by H1B scabs.
Without better jobs, how will Americans pay off their college? Or do we all go back to manual labor, and pray that doesn’t get automated out of existence?

Your last sentence is exactly right. Where will the profit be? Government can only tax profit, right? If you lose money, if your income is below a certain amount, they can’t tax you. So where will the money come from?

        • Bdog

Most people fill their turkey with “Stuffing”… so your particular culinary choice seems odd. Bon appetite’!

I found it interesting that the article’s author didn’t once mention Bernie Sanders as a viable replacement for HRC… as the DNC conspired against him on every front. Most polls predicted Bernie would have easily beaten Orange-45.

      • usncb

IF, IF, IF, If the dog had not stopped to take a shit, he would have got the rabbit. Hellery is a lost cause, lets face it.

  • pkentosh

Who cares? Trump won. It’s been a year and we’re still here. And so are all the idiots who said they were leaving the country. Time to get over HRC and her blaming everyone else for her failure. Trump can be troubling in the way he handles things but he’s doing the job with American interests in mind.

  • bobs33hotrod

I so give thanks that Donald Trump is our President. He also will goon to a second Term and Hopefully he will Have the American Citizens Vote Him in for a third Term..
    BOBBY ~!~

    • Antone Cafe

Third term? Not Constitutional! Was with you until ignorance leaked.

      • Medic RN

        FDR had 3 terms.

        • Don Baker

Yes , and right after that the constitutional amendment was passed limiting the president to two terms.

          • Medic RN

Thanks Don. I assumed FDR got three terms because of WWII.
I was unaware of constitutional change. My bad. Thanks.

          • BatGuanna

We need to limit the remainder of the Senate, and Congress to 1 with a max of 2 if they do good, Then they would all be one termers!

          • apzzyk

My mother served in the CO State Senate and it took here one 4 year term just to find out who to ask for information that was needed to fully consider legislation. We still have term limits in CO, and what has evolved is that we have a state legislature that is having to let the unelected and possibly not very representative career employees do the legislation by not telling the elected representatives what they really need to know. The career employees always want to save their jobs to the detriment of making the changes necessary to use the taxpayers money where the need really exists. Things change.

          • BatGuanna

The tribe is being run by the Indians and not the chief is what your saying. It would be very simple if the people prior to an election if they were tested on what their was their position minimum requirements, and how much they knew or did not know. Sort of like getting a job what qualification’s do you have for this position? You may need to run for something else you do not have the required education and or experience for this position! This a unique idea, but it will not ever happen. Every where I have worked you had to have education, certifications pass competency test and also drug test and TWIC background checks, I have to do this as a minimum to maintain employment, I think it would only br right for them to do the same!

          • Marine68

It was a Democrat Congress that feared a 3 term Republican would undo all the Socialism enacted by FDR would be repealed.

FDR died in his 4th term. You guys are really stupid.

          • Medic RN

Geee Medley…you’re really smart…and abusive. So you may as well be stupid….because your abuse will only alienate you in your abuse. That’s stupid.

You’re really smart. America needs you! Thanks.

      • BatGuanna

And do you really think all the crap going on is Constitutional?

      • John Cherish

For the record they were pushing for a 3rd term for Obama was a shame he counted on and chose Hillary as his heir apparent to the throne. She was worthless as his SOS what made him think she would be any good as president. He should have backed Sanders but what this does prove was his poor judgement on many things. We should be thankful he pushed Hillary on us and gave us Trump

      • Robert Uda

Maybe she was planning on getting the term limit changed to three terms. However, that wouldn’t be a good idea. Do you remember when FDR won four terms? Thank goodness he kicked the bucket before he could get deeply into his fourth term as he was on his way to becoming dictator of the USA. Shortly after he passed away, the Congress changed the term limit to two four-year terms. From the yoyos we had as POTUS (i.e., Bill Clinton, G.W. Bush, and Obama), I begin to entertain as a good idea one four-year term as the limit. Only Reagan made sense having two terms. The one-term yoyos (i.e., Carter and Bush Sr.) was too much for those two incompetents.

I can’t imagine a US that would embrace the disgusting hate filled and divisive stance Democrat’s have pushed forward. I personally can’t believe sane democrat’s can’t see what’s happening to there party or what it means. With Obama we saw plenty of the apologetic tour, open borders, quadrupled spending, race baiting, divisive laws purposed / enacted, like open bathrooms for perverts and a crippling health system that caused much more harm than it helped. I’ve actually tried to follow the liberal beliefs / agenda and for me it’s impossible. There are so many special interest groups I have no idea the full extent, but what I have seen and can follow it’s to scary to imagine!

    • David in MA

Communism is not concerned of the number of causalities as long as the collective survives.

  • Michael Paul

What many of these Clintonistas don’t want to face is that HILLARY IS A FLAWED CANDIDATE. She lost to a nobody with a Muslim name that nobody ever heard of in 2008. That should have told the democrat party that this should never be the woman to carry your banner. I, a FORMER democrat was a big supporter of Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996 even though it was quite obvious that he was a lowlife but I thought he was a pretty good President. It was way back then that it became clear to me that Hillary’s aspirations were for her to be the first woman President. But, even back then, me being a loyal democrat I knew that I could never vote for her. She was flawed back then and it was quite obvious. I have no problem with a woman President but not her. She played her cards right by moving to a very liberal state and becoming Senator. She probably would not have become a Senator in Arkansas but in N.Y. all you need is a “D” next to your name to get elected and especially the wife of Bill Clinton. They are trying to pull the same crap with the hateful Michele Obama but I think she knows that she too is a very flawed, racist candidate based on her own past statements, even though she probably still hasn’t accepted the fact that her racist husband was the worst President to sit in the oval office in modern times.

  • CBUJAN

If Hillary had been replaced the democrats still would have lost. Americans were tired of being back stabbed by congress and needed a change that’s why Trump was elected.

  • Francisco Machado

Finding a more charismatic candidate than Hillary would have been a lot easier than finding one less charismatic, but that far into the campaign the Democrats would lose a lot of Hillary fanatics – just as they lost Bernie fanatics by overtly dumping him. A significant problem for the Democrats, almost entirely overlooked if not denied, is their consecration of and continued dedication to the unpopular Obama administration programs that had already lost them their seats in every branch of national and state elective office. They fell prey to a false consensus bias common to self validating members of an elitist daisy chain.

  • Richard Bagenstose

women voting for a women is like blacks voting for blacks because of their skin color , it’s called being prejudice ,well sanders would have had a better chance of winning then hillary , hillary has a life time of corruption in her closet , but after 8 years of oboma giving the country and our money away to illegals , refugees and terrorists ,i think americans had had enough of it , before oboma got ellected we didn’t have these mass shootings like we have today , and you can’t convince me trump is responcible for it , because his policies haven’t even taken effect yet , your seeing the results of 8 years of the corrupt kenyan clowns policies , all the snow flakes are losing it. until they start electing real people instead of these rich con-artists , it’s a waste of time to vote, how can anyone compete with millionairs , running adds on tv, and if you buy them , it seems both side say the same lies about each other and if they were true they should be in prison not running for office

  • RockyMtn1776

Killary was the worst possible person the Democrat National Committee could have nominated. But…they owed her, she was promised the nomination for not making a fuss after being thrown under the bus for Obama. Bernie the Bolshevik would have been the far better candidate, he would have pulled in every vote in the US from those wanting free everything and their are millions of them. Bernie may have given Trump a real run for his money, we will never know since the Dem. party leaders sold their soul and their country long ago to the Clinton’s.

  • Jeronimo Dan

There was one big draw back in Hillary’s campaign, that no one has ever said anything about and it was a solid loser from the start! No one was going to vote for “TIM KAINE” being on the ticket, the guy exude goofy, silly, out of touch, anonymous and smelled of a loser. Combine with that of Hillary’s baggage and you have a no show voter for the ticket, with the exception of uneducated and uninformed.

  • CBUJAN

    IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT

This has nothing to do with racism

We as a people of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some
individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have
experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the
dust from the attacks had barely settled when the “politically correct” crowd
began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending
others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone
who is seeking a better life by coming to America.

Our population is almost entirely comprised of descendants of immigrants.
However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our
country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of
America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our
sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture,
our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been
developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of
men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic,
Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to
become part of our society, learn the language!

“In God We Trust” is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right
wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women,
on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented.
It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God
offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new
home, because God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don’t like Uncle Sam, then you should
seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with
our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don’t care how you did
things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle.

Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and
we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you are through
complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national
motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one
other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.

    • Bob Nettles

I sure like the way you think. Nice going.

  • mattcoul

“I thought of Hillary,” she (Brazile) writes, “and all the women in the country who were so proud of and excited about her. I could not do this to them.”
In other words, it was about the candidate’s sex — and Brazile was afraid to offend the FemNazis.
(Smiling) Thank goodness for the stupidity of radical feminism!

  • Medic RN

What we know is that the voters were equally divided in 2016; 62 million Left, 62 million Conservative. Regardless it being broadly known Hillary was co-chair of a treasonous, murderous, international, family crime cartel, 62 million liberal progressives voted her back to the White House anyway; a fact which stuns everyone. It wasn’t the vote which seated Trump. The vote, by numbers, was even. It was the electoral college nationally; 301 to 216(?); Hillary’s “basket of deplorables” she drove away out of the heartland thus loosing the electoral college in those states.
Yes. For all the dancing, smiling carisma of Barry Soetoro Obama (Google him), my hamster could have swept the country over Donald Trump. Clinton lies and corruption dug their own shameful grave.

    • dorcus

When are you going to get the big picture! The democrat party is NO LONGER the democrat party of the people! It has been taken over by George Soros and the communist party! George Soros is the money man who paid Hillary’s campaign to push her into the presidency! He lost a lot of money and is NOT HAPPY! He is also the person with the money in his foundations that are creating the riots and chaos across the country! Antifa, BLM, etc. Get the picture now? Research him and Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”.

      • Medic RN

Thanks Dorcus. Where Soros and Clinton criminal money certainly fueled liberal issues, it was the constitution, the law, the thousands of volunteer mean little old ladies running the voting booths and the people who prevailed via the electoral college…our constitution.
Your angst at Soros is true and justified. Regardless however, it is the people and the law which has prevailed; which has proven a much bigger picture than Soros and Clinton corruption.

  • BatGuanna

I don’t think so, if they could have got one of the dead ones registered, posted the pictures and had one of the actors do the voice over, and never having anything but a picture and good voice, the numb and dumb could have bought into it. I think the ones that were alive and kicking were not worth a crap and still are not! And did not have a snowballs chance in hell of winning!

    • Medic RN

      Yes. You’re correct. My hamster!
Vote foe Willie! See how easy it is?

  • A. Jay

No, no way! Ovomit ruined it for his party with his “transformation of America”. This will hurt Democrats for years to come as they are losing Congressional seats and are even losing local elections. Sane Americans are fed up with the progressive policies that don’t work!

  • Sue

Donna Brazile, didn’t she give questions to Clintoon ahead of that debate. Is she full of crap or what. Women wanted Hil-Liar-y to be President? I, for one, did not.

Hillary did win the election (the popular vote) and without Russian interference she won the Electoral College vote too. Trump is a fraud and has sold this country out to Russians. We have not been stabbed in the back like this since Benedict Arnold.

    • Vlad Tepes

Dumbest post I’ve seen all day.

    • Bob Nettles

You have been drinking to much cool aid, wake up and smell the roses, Trump is only trying to make the US strong again. Hillary would have given us 4 more years of Obama’s polices and that would have really been bad for us.

  • James V. Tribbett

The only way the Dems can ever win is to count on the resurrection of Kennedy.

  • Vlad Tepes

The Democrats had no one last November. They don’t now and they won’t in three years. Who? Pocahontas, Franken, Michelle Obozo? Please.

  • Robert Early

No. Harry Reid, Obama, and the Leftist Media killed the Democrats. Then, running a criminal for the highest office in the land, was just icing on the cake, and proof that the Party was dead.

  • apzzyk

Hillary was better funded, but Bernie had the momentum without the baggage and his pricipled rejection of the big money may have hurt him. I am like Bernie and if the body of the Democrats do not choose someone who better represents my views, I will go on the Socialist Party (still on the balott in CO) to take on the Freedom Coalition Ken Buck who wants to take my freedoms away and give them to the wealthy for export to Burmuda.

  • BigC

Absolutely!!!! If they would have replaced the witch with Trump!

  • robertleo

Possible but it would have to be other that Bernie. Always wondered at the time, is there not another would could have been a better choice than Hillary. Seems there was not or did the DNC reject and other contender. Kinda of sad.

  • johnnywoods

Trump won because of the anger and frustration of “We the People” over the past ten years of Obummer and the Democraps. The Hilderbeest would have been more of the same and Bernie would have been worse because he is insane.

NO! Because their PARTY has destroyed America during the past 8 years! The Silent Majority said so!

  • george briar

Truth is nobody wanted to live in a Obama’s America or Hillary’s either and Trump wasn’t offering a Trumps America just a great one again. Most of us remember one when we were growing up where you could actually walk to school with out any problems because it was safe. Everything was safe words like refugee Muslims, illegal aliens, BLM, were unheard of as was unemployment, expensive gasoline, fake news and so much more. College wasn’t out of reach for anyone and neither was employment. The police weren’t targets and neither were black people. Obama’s agenda to ruin America failed the day Trump was sworn in.

  • Edward Conley

    Pretty doubtful .

  • george briar

yeah the democrat party has jumped out of the plane without a parachute not because they wanted to commit suicide but simply because of their inability to plan or prepare. They continue to be the same disaster they always were and after Obama and the last election one would believe the get it but nope they don’t. They pushed an undesirable old woman with a sketchy history out there and expected the people to flock to her because she was female similar to the idea with Obama being black. They offered nothing but fantasy and constant hatred for the opponent a non politician. It seemed like a slam dunk to the democrats that believed Trump was just a clown and with the media on their side it was thought to be a walk in the park for Hillary. But unfortunately Trump wasn’t just a non politician he was entertaining and real. Even after almost a year in office they still underestimate this man and come 2020 they will get yet another ass kicking at the polls .

  • Paul Carmichael

The Clintons have been found to be so evil and corrupt she would not won. Since the election the Democratic Party being do corrupt with most of the so called leadership being corrupt they in no way would have one. The Obama administration was corrupt to the core always causing dissension between races, promoting terrorist groups, money laundering and other deeds. Hillary and Bill should be arrested tried and executed. That sodomite winch has done every crime imaginable as well as Bill. The Obama justice department was a farce,as well as Obama trying to destroy our democratic republic to an Islamic terrorist State. Despicable.

  • John Cherish

Actually if they let Bernie actually get the nomination in the primary there might have been a good chance he would have beat Trump. He was at least popular where as Hillary was as popular as a wet fart. Hilary was a 2 time looser lost when she ran for president against Obama and was a big failure at State and had diplomats murdered while under her watch. Sanders had popular support among the Millinials

  • BB

Donna was a partisan operator, as she should have been, that was part of her job. What I respect about her is that she’s not blind to that fact and has limits. It’s the sheep who live in LaLa land and swallow the pill without any thought or boundaries. Donna is a good analyst, is pragmatic with some scruples and that’s what the democrats need more of, not less. Note: you will never see a Debbie W. Schultz with limits.

  • Patti Luis

    She would never get elected

  • Juan Carcao

The DEMS created all those problems and how could they not see that Hillary was buying the candidacy after her criminal motives were there, plain to see… Brazile pretends to want to do what is best for Hillary and her party, with total disregard to both the citizenry the respect of the office of the president…these people are lost in more ways than they care to see…..

The Biden-Booker ticket could have won given the complicit nature of the fake news industry. In many ways we are fortunate that Hillary Clinton is an arrogant, self-centered, control freak. After forty years of scandals, corruption, and a cheating husband Hillary is an empty husk of a human being who sold her soul a long time ago. One could almost feel sorry for her if she wasn’t so damn evil.

  • mary ann

No the dems would not have won. That’s how good Donald Trump is.

………It is particularly troubling and puzzling that she would seemingly buy into false Russian-fueled propaganda, spread by both the Russians and our opponent, about our candidate’s health.”……………
Hellooo! Hillary’s health was bad and there for all to see in TV land. She practically couldn’t walk to the van by herself and definitely was unable to get in. She was tossed in like…….
well, you people saw it yourself. She had coughing fits, she looked horrible many times.
No, everyone could see this woman is not healthy. Even now she looks awful, big bags under her eyes, that not even heavy makeup can hide.
Why doesn’t she just go somewhere and rest and let it go.

  • DaveyJ

Hillary could have been replaced by almost anyone! But is sure would NOT be BIden, Cuomo, DeBlasio, Pelosi or Maxine Waters. And if that idiot Al Green from Texas keeps running his mouth about impeachment our Democratic Party will be extinct! Obama did actually do untold damage! When will our party get real! Hillary is all bully about the Win in Virginia…..maybe that who the Democrats SHOULD have run for President! Except for one detail…people do not place much faith in Medical for solving the Country’s biggest problems. Run someone from Utah or Wyoming! Run a US Farmer. At least that industry has world respect!

This is a trick question right? Neither one of those idiots would have been elected. Biden either. The Democrats were facing a nation that was fed up with the lying and the cheating and corruption. Trump was going to win!

  • RockyMtn1776

I doubt if. Obama had poisoned the waters so badly for the next Democrat nominee it would have been almost impossible. They did however pick the worst of the worst in their choice of Killary, but they were forced into it. She had been promised the nomination by Democrat party leaders in return for being thrown under the bus for Obama.
