Taylor Swift Sets an Example That More Celebs Should Follow

In September, a NY Daily News article was written with the (ominous, if you’re a subscriber to that rag) headline: “Taylor Swift’s silence on politics fuels speculation that she secretly voted for Trump.” This is of course meant to get the same gut-feeling from readers as you might get from “Taylor Swift’s silence on Jeffrey Dahmer fuels speculation that she is secretly a cannibal.” Except, in liberal circles, that might actually be more understandable and acceptable that realizing that their pop icon is something so dreadful as a TRUMP SUPPORTER. That’s…that’s…almost unthinkable!

“Swift faced criticism throughout the election season for remaining mum, and not following in the footsteps of her fellow pop stars, who expressed their support for Hillary Clinton and disdain for Trump,” read the story. “Her sole foray into the world of politics was as an apolitical Instagram post on Election Day telling her followers to ‘go out and VOTE.’”

The horror!

In a recent column, the magazine Marie Claire went further, actively criticizing Swift for her determined dedication to staying quiet about her politics. “Taylor is not required to be open about her politics, of course, but it’s also fair to question her decision to remain silent in what was a particularly contentious and consequential presidential battle,” wrote contributor Kayleigh Roberts.

“Whether she likes it or not, Taylor’s politics (or her perceived political apathy) are a part of her reputation, and a song addressing or at least acknowledging that (even if the song did not address her personal politics) would have been impactful,” she opined.

Would it?

What both the NY Daily News, Marie Claire, and anyone else bashing Swift for her lack of political statements is assuming, of course, is that Swift would naturally be a Democrat. After all, how could she NOT be? She’s not an 80-year-old racist man from Mississippi, so what else could she be? None of these writers have ever met a conservative in their social circles, and Swift is far too cool and relevant to be caught dead in Republican waters, so it’s obvious. Swift was pro-Hillary, but she refused to say so because she was afraid that it might turn Trump voters off her music. That’s what they actually think.

And they may be right. But we’d guess that if tomorrow, Swift admitted she was a Trumpist through and through and began forcefully defending his agenda, they would change their minds – in a hurry – about whether or not the pop star should be vocal about her politics.

Truthfully, we don’t know who Taylor Swift voted for last year, and that makes us extremely happy. More celebrities should follow her example and just keep their mouths shut about the wonderful world of politics. Yes, they have the same rights as every American to their opinion, but they did not earn their outsized soap boxes through the clarity of their political wisdom. Their status as famous entertainers lends their political criticism a weight that is unfair, unearned, and frankly, obnoxious. Swift does her fans and the country as a whole an enormous favor by keeping her silence.

  • FloridaBoyee

Taylor Swift KNEW that being Political, in anyway, her record sales would have dropped, tremendously! There were Thousands of people who could NOT show support for TRUMP, prior to the election, because your car or truck was damaged b Hillary fanatics! SO MANY did NOT show their outward support for TRUMP, but definitely went to the polls and VOTED the BEST Candidate into office. And NOW we came OUT and VOCALLY show our support daily! What? You want Joe Biden or God For Bid, Obama, back into office? Hillary KNOWS she is done for and maybe the DUMBOCRATS will try her again in 2018, if she is not in jail or going through a divorce!

    • Rosech Levy

Florida, and many were democrats who have had it with the DNC critters. I know this because they are in my family.

    • Jackson Action

Rush indicated moochell might run?! talk about a freak out.

      • emag

        Moochell, Biden and deBlasio!
        OMG! hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • Debra(bogene)

Will he/she run as a man or a woman?? I hope he/she does not run. I will have to keep my tv OFF !!!

        • Dale Turnbo

Does the form she would have to sign to be a candidate have “gender” on It? Perhaps “It” is one of the choices.

    • Edith Behm

Sadly, the Clintons will probably walk free. I doubt she will ever quit trying to run, but I doubt the party would select her. We are lucky she ran, as I think Biden could have won. He is starting to speak of it already. The death of his son kept him out last time, but I fear he will return.

    • Chi Sam

Any way. The simple, common word ‘anyway’ means in spite of or nevertheless.

Typical, that you’re constantly calling others dumb.

  • Patriot47

The only thing acceptable to libtards is a vocal libtard.

    Whatta shock. NOT!

  • PWS

why are Taylor Swift’s political opinions anybody’s business, if she doesn’t chose to talk about them? That’s a rhetorical question of course, since they’re nobody’s goddamn business.

    • Chi Sam

Exactly…that you ‘choose’ to refuse to master the basic precepts of our common language was nobody’s business until you decided to share that information.

      • PWS

Oh brother. Embarrassing, but ‘refuse to master the basic precepts of our common language’ is pretty pompous and overblown as a retort to a simple spelling mistake. Try to make it a little more proportionate next time.

I do notice you didn’t actually say anything about the content of the comment. Got anything along those lines?

        • Chi Sam

Oh…I’m sorry. I completely agree with your generic statement. With 21 up votes, I didn’t figure you needed additional validation.

          Make it 22, then.

        • Chi Sam

          OK…I’ll try.

The word you needed to use, dear sir..is proportional. The word proportionate is an adjective that must directly precede a noun, as in ‘proportionate response’.

Nonetheless, you are a solid American, and if I may say so…simply awesome.

          Have a great Thanksgiving!

        • Rodzzz

          Very petty.

    • Terry Jensen

this is true…it NONE of their damn business who anybody votes for or supports. I wouldn’t say a damn thing either in her shoes….

  • Libs R Loons

Clearly the liberal propaganda outlets are feebly attempting to provoke a response from Taylor Swift.
It’s wise of her to just keep her mouth shut, no matter who she voted for.

  • Wow! It is really possible that there is a celeb out there with good sense?
Good for her! It’s a shame there aren’t more like her.
Buy every published recording of her music you can get your hands on! Let her know that she is appreciated.

    • Dan

There are others like Harrison Ford, Clint Eastwood, and James Wood. All very smart as opposed to the morons that are democrats.

      • Yep. I don’t know about the others, but James Wood’s IQ has been measured at 200. Higher than Einstein’s.
I don’t care much for him as an actor, but at least he’s on the right side when it comes to politics.

      • Edith Behm

Right, I do remember hearing James Woods. Even being a school teacher, you do not mention it if you are a Republican.

      • Chi Sam

The three you mentioned are very vocal about their political beliefs, stupid.

        • IronPhoenix

Correct. However, they are vocal bout being (R) and/or conservative, so Dan’s comment was correct. Perhaps actually reading what someone said (and checking the post that it’s in response to) before stating that someone is stupid would reduce your blood pressure? In this case, you are incorrect.

    • Edith Behm

There are some good Hollywood stars, but not that many speak out, as it will harm their careers. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, Clint Eastwood, Matthew Mc Caughenity (not sure of spelling), and some others I have heard. I think Stallone and Tom Hanks are in favor of the GOP.

      • Chi Sam

‘Not sure’ is not a suitable substitute for ‘I have no ******* idea and I am too lazy and devoid of personal pride to look it up, nor am I smart enough to grasp that there clearly is no ‘t’ in the name of my own choice of subject’.

However, dummy…you did save yourself a lot of typing.

  • marla1

The libturds think the nation should be as ignorant as they are! Every time I see Killary’s evil face and Oslima”s and his he wife’s face pop up on the screen I feel the need to vomit!!!

  • SNUFFER

EXACTLY, ANY OF US DO NOT HAVE TO TELL OUR BROTHER OR SISTERS WHO WE VOTED FOR. THAT WAY IT IS CALLED A PRIVATE/SECRET VOTE IF WE CHOOSE. IT’S NOBODY BUSINESS IN THE SLIGHTEST . A VOTE IS TO BE A SURPRISE UNTIL THE LAST ONE IS COUNTED- THAT’S THE WAY IT HAS WORKED FOR YEARS IN THIS COUNTRY UNTIL THE LAST SEVERAL CASES WHEN HIT WOMAN HILLILARY THE 8TH. COME ON BOARD. THEN THEY BOTH CAME INTO BEING AND THE REST IS PURE HISTORY THAT NEEDS TO BE RECTIFIED – IF WE ARE GOING TO CLEANSE OUR HISTORY OF THE COUNTRY GROWING UP AND PAINS – THEN WE NEED TO REMOVE ANY HINT OF THE OBAMA -CLINTON DUO AND ALL THE CORRUPTION THAT THEY BOTH CREATED FOR PRES. TRUMP TO FIX.
THIS COUNTRY IS HEADING FOR A TAKE OVER NOT BY THESE SILLY ASSHOLES LIKE BLM AND ANTIFA – WE ARE LOOKING AT A FOREIGN ENTITY TO COME IN TAKE OVER A FEUDING COUNTRY ON STUPID SHIT LIKE BLM’S AND ANTIFA AND WHO FRIGGIN TOUCHED WHO 47 DAMN YEARS AGO- IF THIS TREND KEEPS UP THERE WON’T BE ANY PRIEST OR PREACHERS LEFT TO ANNOY US WITH THEIR DUMB ASS SHIT. OR ANY GUY LEFT IN THIS COUNTRY. WE HAVE ALL DONE IT AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER- I PROMISE THEY HAVE- BECAUSE I;M ONE OF THEM THAT DID- AND THE WOMEN HAVE TO BECOME ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE LEWD DRESS IN THE WORKPLACE. I HAVE WORKED IN THE PUBLIC FOR A HALF CENTURY- AND HAVE SEEN MY SHARE OF JUST BLATANT PUSH THOSE TITS AND ASS RIGHT UP IN THE GUY’S FACES AND IT IS USED TO KEEP THEIR JOBS WHEN SOME OF THE BIMBO’S CAN’T TYPE 10 WORDS A MINUTE OR MAKE CHANGE FOR A DOLLAR WHEN A CANDY BAR COST 50 CENTS. THEY USE THIS AS A TOOL AND THEN WHEN THE TOOL GETS TOUCHED -IT ON LIKE DONKEY KONG- READY TO CRY AFTER 47 YEARS OF SEX AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE- AND THEN HERE COMES THE LAW SUITS AND THEN WHEN THE COURT DAY COME- HERE COMES THE PLAINTIFF IN A NUN’S GARB TRYING TO INFLUENCE THE JUDGE AND JURY SHE WAS AN INNOCENT

CHILD PICKING DAISY’S IN A TRENCH COAT WHEN THE EVIL MEN TOUCHED HERE AFTER SHE OPENED THE TRENCH COAT AND SET THE TOUCHING AFFAIR A BLAZE.. THIS THE HUMAN LIFE BEFORE WE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

THESE SCAMS ARE JUST GET RICH QUICK SCHEME’S WHEN THE BIMBO’S DID NOT GET ENOUGH OR IT WAS TO SMALL TO SATISFY. PLEASE DON’T GET ME WRONG I DESPISE THE CLINTON’S BOTH OF THEM- BUT THESE WOMEN KNEW THE REPUTATION OF BILLY “BLOW JOB” CLINTON BEFORE THEY GOT CLOSE TO HIS FLY. SEX IN THE WORK PLACE IS USED FOR A TOOL FOR ADVANCEMENT AND HAS BEEN FOR CENTURIES IN THE WORKPLACES SO WHY SHOULD IT BE SO SURPRISING IT IS IN THE WHITE HOUSE OR THE SENATE OF IN A GARAGE ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF HOUSTON TEXAS.

ITS MEN AND WOMEN IN CLOSE CONTACT WITH REVEALING DRESS’S SHOWING CLEAVAGE TO THEIR NAVELS AND SKIRTS TO TIGHT AND SHORT YOU CAN SEE IF SHE IS SHAVED OR NOT. AND THEN WHEN THE ADVANCES DON’T GO THE WAY THEY WANTED THEM TO GO- THEN ITS A SEX HARASSMENT SUIT – BECAUSE SHE DID NOT GET WHAT SHE THOUGHT SHE COULD GET WITH A LITTLE SIDE ACTION IN THE BOSSES OFFICE. IF THESE WOMEN DON’T WANT THIS THEN THE ADVERTISING OF THEIR BODY’S IN THE WORKPLACE NEEDS TO STOP. PROVOCATIVE DRESS IN THE WORKPLACE FOSTERS THIS KIND OF ACTIVITY. PEOPLE ARE HUMAN AND THAT’S HOW HUMANITY GROWS WITH MEN AND WOMEN CONTACT IN THE APPROPRIATE PLACES LIKE AT HOME WITH THEIR SPOUSES OR RELATIONSHIPS. THE 3 PIECE WOMEN’S BUSINESS SUIT

    “A CORK AND 2 BAND-AIDS”
‘HAS NO PLACE IN A PROFESSIONAL ATMOSPHERE UNLESS YOU RUN A WHORE HOUSE/ BROTHEL.

THE WOMEN IN THESE SITUATIONS HAVE TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR SOME PORTION OF THE BLAME. MEN HAVE ONE THING ON THEIR MINDS AND THAT IS SEED PLANTING – SO IF YOU DON’T WANT YOUR FUZZ PATH PLANTED WITH A SEED -YOU MAY WANT THEN DRESS APPROPRIATELY/ ACT PROFESSIONALLY AND STOP THIS ONE SIDED BULLSHIT.

AND MEN TO YOUR OTHER SIDE OF THE BLAME- YOU NEED TO ENCOURAGE YOUR WIFE OR OTHER PART TO DRESS FOR SUCCESS AND THAT IS NOT THE ” CORK AND THE 2 BAND-AIDS ” . YOU BRING THIS CRAP ON YOURSELVES- IF SHE HAS TO WEAR THINGS LIKE THAT TO HER JOB TO SATISFY WHATEVER SHE IS TRYING TO DO – THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD LOOK FOR ANOTHER WIFE OR HAVE A REAL TOUCH TALK- AND IF THAT DON’T WORK THEN ADIOS AMIGO.

I WILL SAY THIS IN CLOSING- IN SOME WORKPLACES A WOMAN COULD WEAR A SUIT OF AMOUR AND THE ADVANCES WOULD OCCUR- THEN SHE NEEDS TO FIND ANOTHER JOB AND STOP THEM IMMEDIATELY OR SHE IS THE CULPRIT IN THE ISSUE. NOT IF AND OR ” BUTTS” . SORRY FOR THE BOOK- BUT I THINK THE REAL TRUTH NEEDS TO BE OUT HERE!!!

  • smiley522

More entertainers should keep their political views to themselves! After all, they live in a make believe world!

    • Yeah. It’s comical how so many of them think their opinions should be respected as if they have any common sense.

    • FloridaBoyee

smiley522, MY Sentiments, too!! What does a make believe entertainer have to offer, BUT entertainment and NOW they are “professing” ALL of the advances of ALL of the others to become “solid” entertainers!! They KEEP ENTERTAINING US, don’t they? We have KNOWN for DECADES, what it took to advance to “Stardom”!! And THEY WANT to TELL the WORLD HOW they GOT THERE? WELL, They need to shut up when it comes to POLITICS, BECAUSE it is a CONTEST between HOLLYWOOD and D.C.who the BIGGEST SLUTS really are!!

  • Sol_of_Texas

Just when I thought I’d seen it all …

  • David W BmyBud

Better to keep her mouth shut and be presumed right wing, then to open her mouth and show how enormously stupid the left wing loser commies around her are!

    ………………………………………………………..M A G A !!!……………………………………………………….. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/fa38a0442817e598a8d3a5bee7eb41151d75e58b2c79fdc53eeaeb10d7d50d17.jpg

    • Debra(bogene)

That’s Awesome. If I could find that in a ‘gift shop’, I would buy it. Did you come up with this or someone else? Patent it.

      • David W BmyBud

It’s yours. I found it on the net and copied it.

        • Debra(bogene)

I bet the person that came up with it, already has it out in gift stores, or soon will. lol

    • Chi Sam

Than, stupid. The common word ‘then’ refers to a specific point in time…and nothing else.

Oddly enough, had you kept your mouth shut not one person would have thought you were dumb.

      • David W BmyBud

Aaaaaaaaw!!! Are you butthurt chi sam the dipshit? Go suck something on obozo!! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/c4bace307365f4e3d31bd7e842646649aaad3e92f017162cf7894d3525b31c17.png

        • Chi Sam

No, not at all. I enjoy mocking dummies, so that level of mild ignorance amuses me. Why does your brain conclude it would in some way hurt me?

(And Obama was not the dumbest…just the worst.)

          • IronPhoenix

            Try “… carrying on as…”

I agree with your comment on Obama.

        • Chi Sam

You have no human Facebook friends. Not one other person in our country has zero friends.

Will your rescue dogs eat turkey with you today, loser…or will you be eating Alpo with them?

          • IronPhoenix

More stones from the glass house resident. The snippet “decades shame” is grammatically incorrect. The correct use would be “decades of shame”.

          • John W.H.

We know you are a pompous ass, but what you think you know about Viet Nam, proves how utterly unqualified you are to spew your unadulterated bull shit !!

          • Chi Sam

For starters, I do know that Vietnam is simply one word.

      • IronPhoenix

The word “then” does not refer to a *specific* point in time, unless it is referencing such: “Let me know when it’s two PM, then I’ll go to the store.” When used in a chronological sense, it is usually sequential: “eat your vegetables, then you may have dessert”. “… nothing else”? Incorrect. You missed the location usage: “Left to right in the picture is my father, then my Uncle Joe, then my Aunt Sam”. You also forgot about the conditional: “If you’re going to pick nits, then you should at least try to be accurate when you do so.”

  • Jesusprotectus

Taylor Swift is a class act entertainer, who values her fans, and is smart to entertain instead of lecturing.
She is a true role model for girls and women….and this rag attacks her? Keep rocking Taylor!
God bless Taylor Swift and her family!

    • Edith Behm

I applaud her for speaking up in a business mostly run by the Left. Sorry, but niether my husband nor I ever liked her music.

      • Jesusprotectus

Every American has the right to ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’. This mag is infringing on Taylor’s God given right, protected by our Constitution. For them to attack her, because she hasn’t shared her political views, is disgusting, wrong , bullying and tyrannical. They have no right to attack anyone to force them to respond….kgb much mclaire?

        Happy Thsnksgiving!

      • Chi Sam

What, exactly, did she speak up about, dingbat?

Missing the point entirely is a favorite pastime for you, isn’t it?

        • FloridaBoyee

I think what she is implying, is she is NOT a DUMBASS LIBERAL or DUMBOCRAT. That is what I got got out of it. Maybe you see something different?

          • Chi Sam

That is exactly what Edith said. Only an idiot would have to even contemplate it. What she ‘implied’, however is that Taylor Swift has spoken out on the subject, when very clearly she did not.

Is English not your primary language…or do you simply not understand the article you just read?

(You and I are on the same side of this issue, stupid…so play your silly game with someone on your level.)

          • Chi Sam

‘Pablo is a dope’ is more like it, gamer-fag.

          • Chi Sam

‘Mal’ is Latin for bad. You are most certainly familiar with such
words as malware, malevolent, malfeasance, malady, malpractice, and
malfunction. If you do not know what these common words mean, or
cannot make the connection to ‘mal’…you’re very stupid.

I’ve read a few of your posts around the ‘net, including your remark about “gran mol seizures.”. I have never known anyone susceptible to seizures, yet I have known since I was a child that it’s ‘gran mal’, and that a ‘mol’ is a mobster’s girlfriend.

I despise you inept dummies that cannot keep your mouth’s shut.

          • FloridaBoyee

Hey DIPSHIT!! Ever had spell check change your spelling after you type and do not read it? Just go play with yourself and stay off of my F/B. You are the type of guys that would have been shot the first day on combat, becaus e of your mouth! Of course, you more than likely have NO Military Education, D/S!

          • Chi Sam

You are ignorant, incompetent, and inarticulate. You certainly did not just get this way…and you should have long ago developed a much better coping mechanism than yammering about make-believe scenarios.

Take more drugs…that ought to make you smarter, huh?

          • John W.H.

You are a pompous ass !! Did someone die and leave you in charge, or did you assume that anyone on this site gives a shit about anything you have to say ??

          • IronPhoenix

You shouldn’t throw stones, living in that glass house of yours. It’s “grand mal seizure,” not “gran …”, and “mol” is not an English word. A “moll” is an old term for a prostitute, commonly a gangster’s arm-ornament. Also, your use of “mouth’s” is either possessive or a contraction of “mouth is”, neither of which reflects the plural that is the contextually-obvious intent.

        • IronPhoenix

Actually, she DID speak up. Go re-read the article, and find this quote: “Her sole foray into the world of politics was as an apolitical Instagram post on Election Day telling her followers to ‘go out and VOTE.’” This qualifies as speaking up. Though it does not require the speaker to indicate her preference, it does express her stance that people should vote.

  • Firewagon

“….famous entertainers lends their political criticism a weight that is unfair, unearned, and frankly, obnoxious.” And all the chorus shouted: AMEN! Had those undeveloped/underdeveloped minds in those sports venues of the NFL/NBA, et. al., been as “astute” in realizing that fact, I would have far less time to study the lint in my navel – and able to return to couch potato status watching those sports!

  • CP

    classy lady…..

  • ChiefBoring

Duh! That’s why we have secret balloting! Wise young woman, Taylor.

  • dgloria2009

Taylor has been, by far, one of the most astute entertainers that I have ever seen. She actually graduated from the high school that 2 of my granddaughter’s attended/attend. I think that for such a young girl she is truly amazing…very smart, very conscientious, very generous, very classy, very caring, with great work ethics. It’s NOBODY, but nobody’s business who she is for and she is wise beyond her age to know it.

    • John

I think it’s the school name that starts with a “W” and ends with a “g”. It’s about 2 miles from my home.

      • Chi Sam

        Wow…you’re almost related to her.

  • Joey

First of all It’s nobody’s business what her political views are. Those that are calling her out are just non useful idiots trying to stir the devil’s caldron.

  • Ron Dapo

Very smart Taylor, if you don’t say they can’t put you in a category….

  • emag

Good for Taylor Swift. Personally I dont care who she voted for, but these MSM idiots and Hollywood do not have the right to demand anything from her.
    Remember its a secret ballot!

  • John King

“…Yes, they have the same rights as every American to their opinion, but they did not earn their outsized soap boxes through the clarity of their political wisdom. Their status as famous entertainers lends their political criticism a weight that is unfair, unearned, and frankly, obnoxious. Swift does her fans and the country as a whole an enormous favor by keeping her silence…”

Soooooooo true! This is why the term “Shut-up and sing!” came into being! You see, being famous because you are a singer or an actor/actress, a painter or a scientist . . . does not mean you have a greater credibility or a higher level of knowledge about politics than anyone else does! You may have a more visible position (…thus a soap-box to speak from…), but that doesn’t mean you have to talk about everything under the sun as if you know more about it than “the little people”!!! You DON’T!!!

    • RSM

When Trump first announced his run for President CNN dug up a stage actress in England that no one had heard of (except her friend at CNN) and played her negative comments several times over 24 hours. It was totally ridiculous because she had no knowledge of politics, history, foreign relations, etc. “She’s an actress!”

  • Fed Up With Politicians

More Hollywoodites need to follow Taylor’s example!

    • FloridaBoyee

THEY CAN’T!! They are entertainers and they HAVE to Entertain us with their make believe minds!!
A FINE EXAMPLE, is have you NOTICED that there are MORE English, Australian , New Zealander’s in the Movies and tv? The MAIN reason is that these entertainers actually memorize their scripts BEFORE the takes! The US “entertainers” have trouble reading a script on a Green Screen! They SAVE the Producers & Directors MONEY!! AND THEY WANT TO TELL US how to VOTE!!!!

      • Chi Sam

        You are very inarticulate.

        • IronPhoenix

As one of the definitions of “articulate” is “expressed, formulated, or presented with clarity and effectiveness”, and FB’s post certainly met that description, you are mistaken. I’ll remind you that “clarity” is subjective, and challenge you to deny that you understood his intent. Perhaps “inelegant”?

  • sox83cubs84

    I love Taylor Swift.

    • Stargeezer

And that’s why she is quiet about this one point in her life. Good for her. I really hope it works out for her.

From what I’ve seen from her life in public, she’s a respectful person who seem’s grateful for her skills and her craft. I’d never want to deal with 1% of the garbage she lives with as a “personality”. What tripe!

I can only say that I actually feel a bit sorry for her and hope that she get to enjoy her life a bit.

  • RSM

I prefer an entertainer who focuses on entertaining, not giving political lectures. The Dixie Chicks had some good music, but destroyed their brand when the disrespected President Bush while in England.

  • DeLaun Fifield

…lest the “left” remember how much “influence” celebrity opinions had on getting Hillary elected!

AS IN NONE!! Celebrities need not opine-we don’t CARE about their opinions…

    • Chi Sam

Many people indeed do care. What a stupid remark.

      • IronPhoenix

As the extent of the word “we” in DeLaun’s post is not indicated (and could refer only to DeLaun’s family, for example), your remark is assumptive and overbearing. Calm down.

  • Mark Sanders

    I knew I loved Taylor.
Wish she’d find Mr Right already.
    She’ll have beautiful kids.

    • sox83cubs84

Her standards are high. Most of these Hollywood azzwipes can’t even begin to approach them.

  • Linda Conino

It is NOBODIES BUSINESS who she voted for. That is why you a have ballot booth or given a vote tally to vote who you want. So GET OFF this BS, You nosey SOB.

    • Chi Sam

The word is NOBODY’S, stupid…and the all caps theatrics makes it appear you are actually boasting of your incompetence.

(btw…The other simple, common word that somehow escapes you, is ‘nosy’.)

      • IronPhoenix

If you’d check before criticizing, you might spare yourself some embarrassment. While both are correct, “nosey” is the more commonly used form (though I can see that you probably just believed a spell-checker and ran with it. They’re good, but not infallible. (Ref: dictionary.com)

  • cg

Go Taylor….we love you…you are one smart business woman!

  • Michael Paul

Just because most of Hollywood, the music world and the sports world follow a herd mentality, some amongst them have the right to vote their conscience and not talk about it, no matter how they voted. Personally, I think she was smart to keep quiet. Why give people on either side a reason not to buy her music. I would not spend my hard earned dollars going to movies or buying music if I know the actor, actress or musician is a hard-core leftist.

  • Betty

i AGREE SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO KEEP HER POLITICS TO HER SELF. sHE SAID ALL SHE NEEDED TO SAY WITH THE WORDS “GO VOTE” NOT HOW TO VOTE JUST VOTE.

    • Chi Sam

When you type in look-at-me all caps, don’t be stupid and hit the Shift key when you begin a sentence.

      • Betty

I agree did no look at what I was writing did not realize cap lock was on please excuse an 83 yr old’s blunder

        • Chi Sam

‘(D)id no look’. Are you Mexican? I did no look, Senor…

(That would also explain why you do not know the common word ‘herself’.)

‘Senor’ is not a suitable substitute for ‘I have no ******* idea how to obtain an “ñ” and I
am too lazy and devoid of personal pride to look it up, nor am I smart
enough to grasp that the word is actually “Señor” – but thankfully, you saved yourself a lot of typing.

By the way, the bare letter “ñ” is pronounced “enyay”, so placing “an” rather than “a” before it is correct.

  • Whoever she voted for, I always liked her.

  • Attilathehun

Wow! I guess I might even listen to her music now!

    • The duck

Why??? Most stuff called music today is nothing but noise and political. Especially pop. got nothing against Swift mind you just junky noise.

      • IronPhoenix

RAP (Retards Attempting Poetry) is the worst for vitriol, political and otherwise.

  • GuardianFlame

Taylor Swift has always been a classy lady…always! From the first time she sang on TV to now, she has always been a “lady” first and foremost! That is something most Democrat feminists know nothing about. The cruder and most obnoxious they can get seems to make them happiest.

Taylor’s music is as classy as she is and I do not see her ever lowering her standards just because some dim witted Democrat twit thinks she should. Actually, more liberal women could take some lessons on being “more than they are”. But they would never understand what that meant…🤦🏼‍♀️

  • Jim Hays

“Class” is something that liberals don’t have or understand. And their criticism of conservatives who do is understandable..

  • CBUJAN

She is one of the smart ones, When celebrities voice their opinion on politics you have idiot voters that will vote their way just because they are fans of them.

  • Mo

I applaud the young Lady for standing on her Prinicipals. How she voted or plans to vote is her business and her business only.

    • Chi Sam

Principles, stupid. Principals are primary members of an organization. Assuming you attended school at some point in your life…you certainly ought to know what a principal is.

You are remarkably stupid, though that is the norm for mouth-running clowns.

      • Mo

Why don’t you just crawl back under your rock and go back to sleep, we don’t need any comments from the peanut gallery.

        • Chi Sam

I will when you embrace English, you mentally lazy oaf.

  • Don Ward

Has any body stop to think my be she didn’t vote at all ,You all no this is a possibility .So keeping quiet my be a smart thing ,she my of not liked nether candidate so chose not to vote . So I like the way she handed it so you GO GIRL ….

  • Floyd

Well Taylor Swift is not one of those BABY KILLING 2 bit girls working the streets

  • David

I wish more celebrities would follow her example and keep their mouths shut. Just because they have access to a microphone more than most does not mean they have anything worthwhile to say or any greater insight than the average person off the street. The only thing most celebrities have more than others is that they are more full of themselves than most.

  • TheBucko

Yes, I too wish all celebrities would just do what they do and not tell us their political leanings and most of all what we should think. It makes a movie impossible to watch when a left wing, gay, drug-addict, Hillary supporter is playing a part in a movie that is exactly the opposite of him in real life.

  • The_Domo

I don’t know much about Ms. Swift’s music. In fact I doubt that I’ve ever heard one of her songs. If I did it is unknown to me because I hardly listen to music. But I do agree with PWS, Ms. Swift’s politics is her business and not mine. I’ve never voted for a person based on which political party they belong to. Thank you Ms. Swift for handling your politics like all Americans should, personal. God Bless, you and yours.Amen.

  • Richard Hartmann

I agree with Taylor Swift and the Daily BS News should keep out of someones personal business. But Marie Claire displays her total ignorance of the democracy this country is built on. We have imperfections in this country and people like Marie Claire represent a glaring example of ignorance.
