Gary Johnson “I Might Be the Next President”

Libertarian Gary Johnson has outpaced Green Party candidate Jill Stein in the presidential election so far. Johnson has drawn big crowds at his rallies in August with hundreds attending his rally in New Hampshire.

The candidate told Fox News “I might be the next president. You know that, right?”

Johnson has 11% support according to recent polls from NBC News/Survey Monkey. Jill Stein has 5% support, Hillary Clinton has 43% and Donald Trump has 38% support. Candidates that hope to make it into the first presidential debate need 15% support.

Debate season will kick off on September 26 in New York.

Johnson’s campaign has ramped up efforts to boost the candidate’s popularity and support in recent weeks.

The optimistic Libertarian acknowledges that he will not be able to win the presidency if he doesn’t make it into the debates. Johnson’s role in this year’s election is vital for the Libertarian party. The goal, aside from presidency, is to help shape the election by pulling votes away from the Republican and Democratic party.

Johnson is the former Republican governor of New Mexico.

The presidential hopeful just announced his campaign’s biggest donation hours ago. B. Wayne Hughes Jr., a former GOP donor, donated $117,000 to Johnson’s campaign. The donation will be used to fund further ad campaigns for Johnson.
