New Poll Shows Joe Biden Running Away With the Nomination

For as much talk as there’s been about Joe Biden being out of touch with the modern Democratic Party, the latest polls indicate that, if anything, it’s the rest of the party that’s out of touch. Biden’s doing just fine. Indeed, according to a new poll from Fox News, he’s absolutely crushing his competition. Despite widespread assumptions that he was knocked silly in the last debate by Sen. Kamala Harris, Biden is still the Democratic frontrunner…and it’s not really even close.

From Fox News:

The former vice president captures 33 percent support among Democratic primary voters (up one point since June).  That’s more than double any of the second-tier competitors, which includes Bernie Sanders at 15 percent (+2), Elizabeth Warren at 12 percent (+3) and Kamala Harris at 10 percent (+2).

Another six candidates receive at least two percent support:  Pete Buttigieg (5 percent), Amy Klobuchar and Andrew Yang (3 percent a piece), and Cory Booker, John Hickenlooper, and Beto O’Rourke (each at 2 percent).  All others receive one percent or less.

Having the most voters in nearly two decades feeling positive about the economy and 52 percent approving of his job on the economy should position President Trump well to win re-election.

However, the exact same number, 33 percent, think economic conditions will get better whether Trump gets re-elected or a Democrat is elected.  A touch more think the economy will get worse if Trump wins (39 percent) than if a Democrat wins (36 percent).

That ambivalence about the economy contributes to Trump’s support staying between 39-42 percent in hypothetical 2020 presidential match-ups.

People like to see the name in the headline – Fox News – and dismiss this as some kind of biased polling sample, but the network actually employs both a Republican (Daron Shaw) and a Democrat (Chris Anderson) to conduct their surveys. They are aimed at bringing the public an accurate picture of the electorate, which is more than many other, widely-disseminated polls can claim.

“When the economy is good, incumbents typically have the wind at their back,” Shaw said of the president’s re-election chances. “The president has an obvious target group — the 10 percent who approve of his handling of the economy, but aren’t voting for him.”

Trump is not doing well in head-to-head matchups with Biden and Sanders, but he is out front of everyone else in the Democratic field. Of course, the general election is a long way away, and the rest of the Democrats will have a long time to chip away at Biden’s shell of armor. That’s not even getting into the many pitfalls that Biden could fall victim to – gaffes, flip-flops, racially insensitive remarks, sexual harassment, and lurching too far to the left being among the most likely.

Right now, though, the smart money is on a Trump vs. Biden general election. Frankly, we feel pretty good about our chances.

  1. Smart strategy – to represent so much radical socialism among many candidates, while denouncing Trump as a radical right-winger. Meanwhile there’s good old reliable Joe from nowhere (I lived in Dover, so I know of what I speak). Biden will seem like a relief between those other two extremes, and no doubt, a bunch of sheep will follow that goat right up the chute. That the entire media is owned by or controlled by six very rich sources – all in the same agenda room – laughing their asses off – doesn’t help. What can the Donald do? Some sort of big expose must be lurking in the shadows, no question. Perhaps he’ll try to accomplish what JFK couldn’t and return our economy to the Treasury where it belongs, sending those international banker crooks to Mars, where they belong. (Better wear a flack-suit, and put his entire security detail under scrutiny).

  2. Any of the Dim candidates will simply be bear bait when they come up against Pres. Trump. However, if Sleepy Joe is the candidate here is one scenario. Joe is nominated Dim candidate for president. Joe names Michael…. er, I mean Michelle, as his running mate. The unbelievable happens and Joe wins. Joe falls down the stairs or contracts typhoid~~ whatever it takes~~ and Michelle becomes president. Barry sets up his dictatorship. Of course all of this is contingent upon voter fraud. Fraud including, but not limited to: “winning” ballots even now being printed; Soros owned voting machines; criminal invaders voting multiple times; dead people voting; Dim’s pets voting; finding “lost” ballots; “recounts;”……..

  3. First of all, the poll is a lie! Second of all, no matter who goes up against Trump will lose! The American people are sick of the Democrats and liberals!

  4. OK
So how many illegal voters are voting for joe the pedophile biden

because that’ll be primarily his voter basis

Because all of Us US voters 300 million+ are TRUMP supporters

SO ole joe b, now you know our TRUMPing truth, even if it frightens to know our TRUMPing Truth
    Amen & Amen!!!

  5. None of them I would consider Presidential material. All of them are out of touch with voters, with “Sleepy Joe” being LESS out of touch . . . Team Trump and his allies 2020.

  6. I have absolutely no confidence in polls.
I remember when the polls said Herpes Clinton would win the presidency and
    thank God she did not.

  7. Hope he runs, even if the mainstream media, all of the TV media’s, except Fox, and most all print media will be for Sleepy Joe, Trump will beat him like a drum!

  8. Dems must look at Biden like Reps looked at Bob Dole. One of the “good ole boys “ let’s give him his
Shot at the end of his career. They are both “has been losers”. What a waste of a vote Dole cost us big time. Go Dems you deserve this POS as your finest candidate. Then we can MAGA with 4 more years with more swamp draining. GO TRUMP

  9. Biden is a POS. He is a “has been” “never been”. He is the democratic version of Bob Dole and he will cost them big time. Just like Dole cost us Go
Joe. Give us 3 more years to MAGA. Now Joe can cry on Hillary’s shoulder. BOTH LOSERS

  10. With twenty people trying to get the nomination the best the Democrats can come up with is Biden, that is sad. Of course, it does show that there at least some intelligent Democrats out there that are not quite ready to swallow the Socialist pill.
I guess most Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists either never took a Civics class or if they did they failed the course. Because if they actually were awake in class they would know that the President cannot just make the changes that these candidates are preaching. The only way to make these disastrous plans a reality is if they also win both the House and the Senet. Estimates from organizations across the ideological spectrum have pegged Bernie Sanders’ single-payer health care plan, Medicare for All, at around $32 trillion over 10 years. According to the Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists this money will come from taxing the top 1%. As soon as these idiots inact tax laws to tax the top 10% at the rates they are talking about these top 10% will just pick up their money and move it to a country that doesn’t care how much money they have as long as the spend a lot of it in their country.
These ideas that the Democrats/Leftists/Liberals/Socialists keep put out art not just pipe dreams they are outright hallucinations.
