Trump Names New Campaign Manager and CEO in Recent Shake Up

Donald Trump, Republican presidential nominee, announced a recent campaign shake up following a turbulent few weeks where poll numbers have caused Trump supporters to question his ability to win in the general election.

Kellyanne Conway was announced as campaign manager. Conway is a Republican strategist and pollster. She is a regular commentator on FOX, CNN and other news outlets. Conway is also the CEO of The Polling Company, Inc. She confirmed her position as campaign manager for the Trump campaign early Wednesday morning.

Stephan Bannon, Breitbart News Chairman, was announced as the campaign’s new chief executive.

“I want to win. That’s why I’m bringing on fantastic people who know how to win and love to win,” stated Trump in a report released by the Wall Street Journal. The candidate spoke praise about the recent additions to his campaign.

“I have known Steve and Kellyanne for many years,” stated Trump.

Bloomberg reported that Bannon was the “most dangerous political operative in America” in the past. These comments were touted by Trump, and they were a major influence in his decision to call on Bannon.

Paul Manafort will remain in his position as campaign chairman. Manafort has been responsible for running the Trump campaign over the past two months.

Conway calls the overhaul an “expansion” rather than a shake up.
