The Republican National Convention, set for July, is drawing closer, and the race to win the nomination is heating up.  The Republican presidential front-runner, Donald Trump, is now threatening to sue opponent, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, over his alleged plan to steal delegates.

Cruz is said to have been employing “tricks” in order to win over these delegates.  These “tricks” largely center around mercurial positioning on topics Trump claims to, well, trump Cruz, in an effort to steal delegates in the event that Trump fails to capture the Republican Party’s nomination outright.

These tactics are nothing new, and are allowed, but according to Trump, these lies make Cruz “a very unstable person”, and coupled with his possible ineligibility to be President of the United States, Trump makes a case for having a “standing to sue” Cruz.

Trump went on record to ABC News this past Sunday saying “I have a guy going around trying to steal people’s delegates. This is supposed to be America, a free America.”

The issues Trump claims Cruz to have lied about are important to Trump, because the billionaire’s entire campaign has been built upon taking the toughest stance on a number of proposals and platforms that appeal to Republican voters whom have expressed concerns over the GOP moving further away from their interests.
