San Francisco Labels NRA a “Domestic Terrorist Organization”

Further solidifying their insipid reputation for liberal idiocy, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to declare the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization, and they encouraged other cities to follow their lead. With the resolution, which is not legally binding in any particular way, the board said that the NRA is guilty of inciting episodes of violence and spreading “misinformation and propaganda” about guns. It brings pressure against the city government to avoid doing business with vendors who have a working relationship with the firearms lobby.

“The NRA conspires to limit gun violence research, restrict gun violence data sharing and most importantly aggressively tries to block every piece of sensible gun violence prevention legislation proposed on any level, local state or federal,” said Supervisor Catherine Stefani. “When they use phrases like, ‘I’ll give you my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead hands’ on bumper stickers, they are saying reasoned debate about public safety should be met with violence.”

They are? We know that San Francisco liberals have a hard time processing language (just look at what they’ve recently done with words like “felon”), but that’s a bit of a stretch, no? It’s not like the catchphrase was “I’ll go on a shooting spree if you so much as bring up universal background checks.” But what else would you expect from the granola-munchers who sit on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors?

In a statement prior to the vote, NRA spokeswoman Amy Hunter said: “This ludicrous stunt by the Board of Supervisors is an effort to distract from the real problems facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and skyrocketing petty crime. The board is wasting taxpayer dollars to declare five million law-abiding Americans domestic terrorists, and it’s shameful.”

But in remarks to a local news station, Stefani remained confident about her resolution.

“The NRA has it coming to them, and I will do everything that I possibly can to call them out on what they are, which is a domestic terrorist organization,” she said. “People are dying every day in this country, and doing nothing is not an option, and that is what the NRA continues to do.”

Well, think what you will about the NRA, but they are doing far from “nothing.” Indeed, they are busy as hell, trying to protect Americans’ Second Amendment rights from politicians who would burn it out of the Constitution today if they had half the chance. Maybe people like Stefani don’t like that mission, but it certainly doesn’t make the NRA domestic terrorists.

  1. I saw that a guy died in a car wreck yesterday. GM IS A DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION! Stefani’s logic moves on. Sadly, I have to agree with the observation of the writer. These “Supervisors” seem to be blind to the obvious problems that they “Supervise”, like homelessness and crime, sidewalks acting as sewers and open violence and drug abuse. Solve the small ones first.

  2. San Francisco has solidified their reputation for having the dumbest leadership in California. If they knew anything about the NRA they would have known how stupid they look now for uttering this BS before the nation. What they had better do is roll up their sleeves and go pick up the poop their little darlings left on the streets and sidewalks last night!

  3. Data showing that guns in the right hands HELP. Terrorists and nut-cases can get guns anywhere. The latest statistic I read is that less than 7% of criminals convicted of a crime did NOT get their guns legally. So San Fran is off again on it’s literal, socialist, leftist tirade. Guns don’t kill. It’s the people who do. You want a domestic terrorist organization. That’s ANTIFA and CAIR but we don’t want to offend them , do we? Who cares! If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, most probably it is a duck. Let’s cut the PC crap and get back to calling what things REALLY are.

  4. That’s ok – San Francisco has been labeled a shithole no longer worth visiting. Another once beautiful city gone to ruin under Democrat leadership.

  5. In turn then let the rest of the country declare Planned Parenthood, ANTIFA, CAIR, BLM, SPLC. and BDSM terrorist organizations, because they actually are, or are in support of and encouraging terror in the form of murder for profit (Planned Parenthood), or other politically motivated violence.

  6. But not a word about the REAL homegrown terrorists that take to streets…especially west coast variety….they’re the antifa hooded, face covered cowards that attack people with baseball bats, among other things. To call the NRA a terrorist group is total insanity.

But then again, lets move to Chicago. Remember, that’s a GUN FREE CITY, that’s been ruled by Ds for decades. Their shooting and murder rate per weekend sometimes surpasses the unfortunate and tragic “mass” shootings that find Ds screaming for gun control and even confiscation.

When will the Ds ever say, “guns don’t kill people…people kill people.”

  7. The second amendment guarantees our citizens to protect themselves frrom a fifth column branch of government. In America, a gun free location is a dangerous place to be. The NRA is doing what my father taught me when I was old enough to hold and fire a rifle. We often went to the gun range and went rabbit hunting with our shotguns.

  8. I encourage gun owners, who have been libeled by this action, to individually sue San Francisco for libel. If several hundred individual lawsuits hit San Francisco at the same time, it would get their attention.

  9. AND I “LABEL” SAN FRANCISCO AS …..”AMERICA’S BOWEL MOVEMENT” …..However, due to the constipation of SFO’s Politicians, the sewage has backed up all over its streets.

  10. Nothing but poop from San Fran. Let them clean up their own act before daring to comment on anything else, especially the NRA!

  11. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice. cialis generic
