Why Trump’s Decision on Iran was the Right Move

To hear it from the mainstream media, you would think that Donald Trump just blundered into the biggest disaster of his presidency.

Or at least, you would think that if his media critics hadn’t already told us that said disaster was the travel ban. Or the decision to move our embassy to Jerusalem. Or pulling out of the climate agreement. Or passing the tax cut bill. Or agreeing to bilateral negotiations with North Korea. Alas, in an atmosphere where EVERY Trump decision is literally the worst thing that has ever happened to America, people must decide for themselves whether or not the president is making the right call.

On pulling out of the Iran nuclear agreement, it’s a no-brainer, and time will prove this out.

This decision showed yet again the power of a president who does not believe that the United States should be subservient to our European allies. Because the EU, France, Germany, and the UK wanted desperately to keep the United States from pulling out of this deal. They tried everything they could. They sent Macron to Washington. They sent Merkel to Washington. They tried to pressure Trump in the press. Hell, they even spent some time with former Secretary of State John Kerry in the hopes that maybe Obama was secretly still in power in some way. Honestly, if they’ve been paying attention to some of the recent court rulings over here in America, we can’t blame them for being confused on that point.

None of it worked, though, because Trump is Trump. He’s not beholden to some imaginary ideal that says the U.S. is not only a friend to Europe but an honorary member of the EU. He’s not about to head out on an apology tour for the sins of another administration. He doesn’t believe America should be a follower when it comes to global politics, and he’s not afraid to piss off the world if it means doing the right thing.

In this instance, the “right thing” was obvious. The Iran deal has its defenders, but none of them can seriously argue that it was a well-crafted deal. The best of their arguments come down to: Well, it was the best we were going to get. Yeah, that’s true if your goal is to sign a deal. But if you are just as happy to walk away from the table and use…other means…to achieve the goal of a compliant, nuclear-free Iran? No, this was not at all the best deal possible. It was, as Trump said many times, one of the worst compacts in modern history.

For all the talk of how Trump betrayed our European allies, it is they who are the traitors if they continue to work with Iran in defiance of Trump’s decision. And they should be treated as such by the United States. They should be held to the same standards as anyone else dealing with a rogue nation, and if that means economic sanctions, then that’s what it means. We’ll find out really fast if these countries really want to “go it alone” without America. Really fast. Our guess is not.

Once the pressure builds, Iran will do one of two things. It will either re-start its nuclear program and watch helplessly as we blow their Islamic regime off the map…or it will come begging for a new agreement. And when they choose Door Number Two, Trump will prove to Barack Obama, John Kerry, and all the rest of the naysayers that, no, your deal was NOT the best one possible.

  1. New Sheriff in town called President Trump and America is not goping to be manipulated by anyone in the world any more for America comes first for a change!! By the way, this pulling out of the Iran deal, destroys once and for all President Obama’s foreign policy of “leading from behind and our leader Presdient Trump is out in from where he and America belongs”!!!! Good job, Mr. President!!

    • Especially since the Iranian President, or whatever he is called, didn’t sign the treaty. In my poor, humble opinion this makes it worth less than the cost of the paper it is printed on. John Kerry and Barack Obama just wanted to make a name for themselves and find a way to send money to Iran. They succeeded. Now President Trump must make things right. If Kerry hadn’t gone running to France, Germany and his pals in Iran trying to undermine our president the problem would be mach smaller.. Bring Kerry up on charges for his meddling in affairs that are not on his watch any more.

      • That’s what’s knoiwn as giving aid/comfort to the enemy, in other words TRAITORS! Obama/Kerry etc etc were just thatTraitors! OOOH RAH!

  2. I agree with Trump, he is not beholden to the swamp on Washington. He is doing great things for our country and the media has been brainwashed by the past least transparent administration who had them in their pockets from the get go. Until we erase all the damage Obama and the resistance has done to our country we will never be great again. The past administration was immoral and was set on bringing our country down with the help of Soros.

  3. Rob in Melbourne, FL…:YEAH TRUMP! Although he doesn’t have the “finess” of eloquence or demeanor some require as President, he has a Patriot’s backbone, which the spineless Obama & Kerry will never have! The same type of DemocRATS who are demeaning anything Trump does, are the same type of spineless twits who never have anything to say about the Iranian Imams & “Leaders” who are burning the American Flag and shouting “Death to America”!! Yeah! We really trust these insane people who hate our guts & everything we stand for! And don’t forget, their Koran allows them to LIE to infidels, which all us Americans are in their theocratic eyes. God Bless Trump & the American Agenda!

  4. Happy Birthday Mr. President Trump !! I’m so very proud of having you as the President of this World Leade country !! You and your family is in my prayers every day !!

  5. Yes, I think President Trump did the right thing getting out of the Iran deal. Obama NEVER did anything to help or protect America because he hates us and wanted to turn the USA into a third world country, and he came way closer than most people think. How many people even know how close a FEMA camp is to their home, they have great big Cremation chambers that remind one of the camps in WW11, that the German’s used on the Jewish people.
God Bless President Trump, VP. Pence and family, the whole staff, and his family.

  6. I am a true Conservative , not a ” Neo Con ” Since the Trotskyites have infiltrated our party back in the 1970’s , we have a lackey of the Zionists , they call the shots , we do their bidding . The Neo cons are the War Mongering Party . Yugoslavia , Iraq , Lebanon , Libya , Somalia , Yemen , Syria and now Iran. The idea behind our Non Stop wars in the Mid east is the restoration of the Biblical Lands of Israel. In the process of bringing ” Democracy” to the Near East and elsewhere , we have murdered and maimed millions of innocent fathers , mothers and children. We have reduced their country , homes and businesses to rubble ………and you wonder why we have ” Terrorists ” [ in their eyes known as Freedom Fighters . ] Arminius Aurelius

  7. It is ridiculous to think there is/was an Iran Deal. The Iranians didn’t sign it and the Senate didn’t consent to it. Some Foreign countries did sign it, but without the Iranians signing and the Senate consenting their is No deal. Trump is doing what should have been done all along.

  8. I don’t quite know if a continued peeing contest with Iran is the correct way. I believe that their development of terror groups is wrong and should be stopped, but I think it has the smell of defense rather than an offensive nature to counter act of the biggest terror groups by Saudi Arabia, ISIS being the latest all the way to Indonesia, eastward and all the way westward through Europe and the UK, north into Skandinavia, south into Africa. I think we have been sucked into supporting this all the way back to the Bushes and Clintons and most definitely by Soros and Obama. I think Trump has seen the light and will take the right path. I hope he stops AID payment to any country that causes any terrorist acts or supports them, Period!. I hope he stops AID payment to any country that permits or promotes persecution of religious freedoms or persecutes Christians. Period!. No excuses, no wavers. Nothing! Period! If it becomes a matter of annialation or open cases of abuse against women and/or children, I hope he sends in more than a demonstrable military presence and with real arms and bullets. I think that our, the U.S. position, has always been to protect the little guy, to protect against violations of human rights. We have continually paid for the U.N. to participate in this endeavor to no avail. I think we have to note to the world that we will no longer sit back and watch it. If we can get the commitment from Europe and from Russia and from China to join us in this action and stop what Obama tried to get us into fighting all of these for his group, the world will advance to a better time.
