Americans took to the polls during a Gallup survey, with Donald Trump tied as the second most admired man in the world. Trump tied Pope Francis for second place, with Barack Obama being the most admired man in the poll.
Bernie Sanders came in at third place, while Bill Gates came in at fourth-place. Carson was ranked in fifth place. Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton along with the Dalai Lama are tied for fifth place in the survey.
Hillary Clinton was ranked the most admired woman in the world, far surpassing the votes that were granted to both Donald Trump and Pope Francis. Clinton received more mentions than the likes of Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey and Queen Elizabeth II. Elizabeth Warren was also listed in the top five most admired women list, along with Sarah Palin and Condoleezza Rice.
The poll was conducted between December 2 and December 6, and surveyed 824 adults nationwide. The margin of error is plus or minus 4%, and the survey was conducted via land lines and cell phones.
A small sampling, the survey does show that many of the presidential hopefuls are among the most admired men and women in the country. The age groups of those that participated in the survey were not released.
