Univision’s Jorge Ramos Confronts Bill O’Reilly on Trump Bias

Jorge Ramos went on “The O’Reilly Factor” on Wednesday night, clashing with Bill O’Reilly on his treatment of Trump. Ramos, an anchor for Univision, accused O’Reilly of not treating Donald Trump fairly. Ramos further accused O’Reilly and Sean Hannity of Fox News of letting Trump dictate the shows.

O’Reilly challenged Ramos, asking him if he could treat Trump fairly if he becomes the Republican nominee.

Ramos countered, “I think we fairly cover Republicans and Democrats. We can be tough on all candidates.” The anchor stated, “I think we’re really tough on Trump because we cannot allow racism and discrimination to become normal.”

O’Reilly countered by stating it was “a subjective thing.”

The argument became heated at this point, with Ramos replying, “Trump’s remarks that Mexicans are criminals and rapists is racist.” The two continued to exchange remarks before Ramos stated, “I think you have to be tougher on Trump. You haven’t been tough on him.”

O’Reilly snapped back, “I have confronted Trump in ways that he said I’m unfair.” Ramos countered by stating, “You and Sean Hannity let him get away with anything.”

Ramos remained calm during the interview, while O’Reilly states that “you have come to a conclusion about the candidate.” Trump has been outspoken, and Ramos quoted times where Trump has made remarks about Mexican immigrants, women and Muslims. Ramos said, “I know what is coming out of his mouth,” arguing that the remarks from Trump are un-American and not acceptable.

O’Reilly countered with, “All right, but that’s your opinion.”
