Sam Nunberg, a former aide to the current leading Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has come out and endorsed his rival, Ted Cruz. The main reason Nunberg gave for this change of heart was due to Trump’s lack of interest in learning about what it takes in order to become the leader of the free world.
Nunberg was fired by the billionaire’s campaign back in August, and has come out with the damning attack on his former boss, saying “Cruz is a Reagan conservative; Donald Trump does not have a coherent political ideology.” Nunberg claims that Trump is out of his league and simply lacks knowledge of both domestic and foreign policy.
Nunberg was an adviser to the Trump campaign, but was fired when Business Insider found racist Facebook posts from Nunberg dating back to 2007 and 2008. This was the second time Trump had fired Nunberg, the first time being after he convinced Trump to partake in a BuzzFeed profile that turned out to be very unflattering. The Trump team said that Nunberg was only a short run consultant who held only a “low-level campaign position.”
This has come amid concerns that many significant Republicans are declaring that if Trump were to win the nomination, they would break ranks and vote for the Democratic front-runner, Hillary Clinton, in the November election in order to keep Trump and his limited expertise out of the White House.
