“It’s Over” States Trump Following Tuesday’s Primaries

Donald Trump declared “it’s over” on Tuesday night following his sweep in the primaries. The presidential hopeful won all five states on the night, causing his lead over Ted Cruz to swell in further.

Trump won in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware and Rhode Island on Tuesday.

Trump lead in all of the counties in each of the respective five states and earned a minimum of 105 out of 118 potential delegates. Following the results, Trump stated, “I consider myself the presumptive nominee.”

The race is likely going to sway in Trump’s favor. The billionaire has over 75% of the 1,237 needed to clinch the nomination, and major upsets would need to take place for him to lose the nomination. Indiana and California are among the most crucial states going forward for the Trump campaign, which is facing off against Ted Cruz and John Kasich.

Trump is likely to face Hillary Clinton in the general election, and the billionaire took no time to bash his opponent. The outspoken Trump stated, “The only card she’s got going is the woman’s card.” The insult was further increased when he said, “If she was a man, I don’t think she’d get 5 percent of the vote.”

Cruz and Kasich are mathematically eliminated from the race, but the two can still prevent Trump from reaching the required delegate count for the nomination.
