Clinton Releases First Spanish Language Ad Against Trump

Hillary Clinton is releasing a Spanish language ad, according to an announcement from her campaign on Friday. The advertisement will be 60 seconds long, and will be played during the Chile-Argentina Copa America finals on Univision this Sunday.

The ad targets Trump’s stance on deporting undocumented immigrants from the United States.

In the initial seconds of the clip, a video of Trump plays, saying, “You’re going to have a deportation force.” A major focal point of the presumptive Republican nominee has been deportation and building a wall across the United States and Mexico border.

Following Trump’s comments are highlights, dubbed “Nuestra Historia,” or “Our History.” The clips show highlights of Americans with a variety of Latin descents, from Colombia to Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Clinton breaks in after a segment that shows Luisa Santos, an immigrant that came to the United States when she was only 8 years old. Santos tells the story of how her mother left her life behind in pursuit of a new opportunity in America.

“As I look at American history, I see that this has always been a country of we, not me,” states Clinton. “We stand together because we are stronger together,” states the presumptive Democratic nominee.
