Trump a “Threat to National Security” States Ex-CIA Chief

Former acting director of the CIA, Michael Morell, states that Trump is a “threat to national security.” Morell was head of the CIA for three years between 2010 and 2013, and is a 33-year veteran. The former head of the CIA has been silent on his preference during elections, but stated that he can “no longer” remain silent. Morell endorsed Hillary Clinton for president.

The former CIA chief had stark words for Trump, stating, “Donald J. Trump is not only unqualified for the job, but he may well pose a threat to our national security.”

The former agent stated that Trump has no experience when it comes to national security. He questioned the billionaire’s character and stated he may be “dangerous” as a commander in chief.

Morell discussed Trump falling into a trap set by Russian president Vladimir Putin. Putin, a career intelligence officer prior to becoming president, is highly trained to identify vulnerabilities in people. “Putin played upon Mr. Trump’s vulnerabilities by complimenting him,” stated Morell.

Mike Pence, Trump’s choice for VP, commented on the criticism, stating, “Honestly, the comment by the former CIA official, I suppose this is the same CIA that told the president that ISIS was the JV team.”
