Jill Stein, Green Party presidential nominee, had stark words for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on Wednesday. Stein stated, “I will have trouble sleeping at night if Donald Trump is elected. I will also have trouble sleeping at night if Hillary Clinton is elected.”
Stein highlighted her opposition of money in politics, and she asserted that she doesn’t agree that voters should discount her candidacy for president.
Bernie Sanders was praised by Stein. The Green Party nominee hopes to build upon the revolution brought to the mainstream by Sanders. Recent polls show that she has 5% support nationwide. Mainstream attention for the Green Party is to blame for the low numbers, according to Stein, due to the mainstream media ignoring the Green Party.
Stein announced concerns of a Clinton presidency due to her track record of voting for war, and her immunity from legal justice following her illegal use of a private email server while Secretary of State.
“I do have serious questions about Hillary’s judgment,” stated Stein.
She calls Donald Trump’s words despicable. A main point behind Stein’s run for presidency is the crushing student loan debt that she says is crippling the young people of the country.
“We are standing up for the everyday people,” stated Stein.
