FBI Discovers Another 14,900 Documents in Clinton Email Probe

The FBI uncovered another 14,900 documents and emails as part of their probe into Hillary Clinton’s private email server use during her tenure as secretary of state. The newly discovered documents were not disclosed by Clinton’s attorney, according to a report from the Washington Post.

On Monday, a federal judge also urged the State Department to start releasing emails before mid-October, as was originally planned.

Last week, lawyers for the Justice Department said the State Department will be reviewing and turning over the Democratic nominee’s work-related emails to Judicial Watch, a conservative legal group.

Judicial Watch and State Department lawyers are discussing a strategy for the release of Clinton’s emails as part of a civil public records lawsuit, which is being overseen by U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg.

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, said in a statement after the hearing on Monday that he was pleased Judge Boasberg ordered the State Department to prioritize Clinton’s’ emails and return to court in late September with a new plan.

Fitton accused the State Department of “stonewalling” the release of the records.

Mark Toner, a spokesman for the State Department, said the agency volunteered to release the emails, but stated that there were tens of thousands of documents that needed to be reviewed to separate official from personal records.
