Former Mexican President Tells America to “Wake Up” and Apologizes for Trump Invitation

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox discussed Donald Trump on Thursday in an interview on CNN’s “New Day.” The former president called for the American people to “wake up” discussing Trump’s immigration plan.

Trump vowed to deport 2 million illegal Mexicans on his first day of being president.

Fox told CNN that Trump is a “fake.” Trump met with Mexico’s President Enrique Pena Nieto prior to Trump giving his speech to the American people on immigration. The hardline speech insisted on a wall being built on the southern Mexican border and again called for the Mexican people to pay for the wall.

Fox told CNN “He comes to Mexico, he plays a totally different music, very diplomatic, very easy and soft talk.”

The former president insisted that the meeting of Trump and Pena was a political stunt. Fox questioned the move by Pena and stated that the 170 million Mexicans don’t want Trump to be president.

Fox was president of Mexico from 2000 to 2006 and ran under the National Action Party.

The former president is a Harvard Business School graduate. He insisted that if Pena goes “soft” on Trump, that it will harm his political future.

Pena stated that he has told Trump that Mexico will not pay for a wall along its borders.
