Michelle Obama Calls on Women to Rally Against Donald Trump

First Lady, Michelle Obama, went on the offensive on Thursday, calling for all women to rise up against Donald Trump. The remarks came after a turbulent week in which Trump has been accused of sexual assault and seen on video making lewd comments against women.

Obama stressed her concern, stating, “The shameful comments about our bodies, the disrespect of our intelligence. The belief you can do anything to a woman? It is cruel. It’s frightening. And the truth is, it hurts. It hurts.”

She stressed that she was “shaken to the core” during her speech.

Rallying for Hillary Clinton, Obama stated that “enough is enough.” Obama was criticized for being too angry on the campaign trail when her husband was campaigning for presidency. Obama has fought for women’s rights and led the Let Girls Learn initiative, which was aimed at helping open up education to more girls and young women.

Clinton is leading the most recent NBC poll among women, with 52% supporting the candidate.

Trump is in the lead among males. Trump’s recent comments have caused his poll numbers to wane in recent weeks. The Democratic Party is unifying in an attempt to ensure that a Trump presidency doesn’t become a reality.

Trump, known for his controversial comments with women and respected figures, has not commented on the matter via Twitter – his usual outlet.
