Your Stomach Will Turn at the Money We’ve Wasted on Climate Change

While there is ample reason to celebrate President Trump’s economy-saving decision to pull out of the catastrophe known as the Paris Climate Agreement, a new study from the Capital Research Center is enough to take some of the air out of the balloons. Because even without engaging in the folly that the international pact would have demanded of the U.S., we’ve already spent a FRIGGING FORTUNE to fight this nonsense hoax of a “problem.”

According to the May report, the U.S. spent – wait for it – ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX BILLION DOLLARS on climate change-related causes from 1993 to 2014. Now, when it comes to government expenditures, astronomical amounts are the norm, but this is pretty damn ridiculous when you consider one simple fact: NONE of this money has apparently done one damn thing to improve our supposedly-disastrous fortunes. None of it has saved the supposedly-melting Arctic Circle. None of it has rescued the polar bears. None of it has saved us from Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth sequel, so what good did it do?

Thankfully, the Trump administration is doing everything possible to reverse this economically-foolish trend and put the country back on solid ground. Not only did Trump pull us out of the global-welfare program known as the Paris Agreement, the U.S. abstained from a G7 “pledge” to take action on climate change.

“We the United States do not join those sections of the communiqué on climate and [Multilateral Development Banks], reflecting our recent announcement to withdraw and immediately cease implementation of the Paris Agreement and associated financial commitments,” the Trump administration said in a statement.

The truth – you know, that thing that is usually skipped past by the climate alarmists in the media – is that Trump isn’t an anti-science zealot when it comes to global warming. He’s simply against leveraging the U.S. energy sector against unproven theories about the fate of the world. Theories which have given way to predictions that are simply NOT coming true. Theories that the left, in conjunction with their representatives in the Democratic Party, are using to justify a complete dismantling of the private sector in yet another war on the free market. THAT’S what Trump is opposed to, and if the majority of the American people were exposed to that pesky little thing called “the truth,” they would be as well.
