Obama’s DHS Chief Irritated That Trump Has “Scared Off” Illegal Immigrants

Leave it to the washed up denizens of Barack Obama to find a way to admit that President Donald Trump has been much more effective in enforcing U.S. law than his predecessor and to make it seem like that’s a BAD thing. Somehow, former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson did just that in an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo last week, when he reluctantly said that it was true that illegal immigration numbers were down sharply under the new administration. Yes, yes, it’s true, Johnson admitted…but we shouldn’t be celebrating.

“Illegal migration on our southern border has gone down since this president has been in office, basically because, through his rhetoric, he scared off a lot of women and children in Central America who’d rather stay in their desperate circumstances, or just migrate to Mexico and stop there,” Johnson said.

Uh-huh. You see how he sneakily put that old Obama line in there – women and children? That’s all the Syrian refugees were supposed to consist of, too, as you’ll recall. Of course, we saw in San Bernardino just how much damage a poor, defenseless woman can cause when she sets her psychotic mind to it. And furthermore, women and children are just as much – if not more – of a drain on our welfare system as any man. Or, as the Obama administration called them, unaccompanied minors. Minors with full, bushy beards, neck tattoos, and rap sheets a mile long.

Implicit in Johnson’s criticism of Trump was a tacit admission that the Obama administration failed to enforce the laws of the land, an admission that Johnson justified with a tug on the heartstrings.

“I believe that we have to enforce our immigration laws consistent with our values and consistent with humanity,” he said. “At the end of the day, when you enforce immigration laws, you have to be able to look at yourself in the mirror, look your own family in the eye, recall the women and children who are desperate, to say, ‘I did my best to enforce the law consistent with our priorities and consistent with our values.’ I hope that the current administration does not lose sight of that.”

Yes, we’re all familiar with the Presidential Oath of Office, which calls on the inaugurated one to faithfully carry out the law, except in such cases that the law conflicts with his personal idea of what it “humane” and what is not.

Every once in a while, it’s important to take a look in the rearview mirror and realize just how lucky we are that Trump came along and steered this country out of the lawless, self-destructive path it’s been on for eight long years.
