Gender Free-For-All Coming to a Walgreens Bathroom Near You

Next time you’re thinking about letting your daughter go into the Walgreens bathroom alone, you may want to think twice. The drug store chain has just sent out a memo to all 8,100 stores in America that customers may decide for themselves which bathroom best fits their gender identity. They have taken the initiative on this one after a woman in Los Angeles was asked to leave the women’s room because she reportedly “looked like a man.” So because one customer in one store in one city in one state had a small issue, they’re throwing the doors open and fully joining up with one of the left’s most insane movements yet.

Customer may not “use restroom facilities that correspond to the individual’s gender identity, regardless of the individual’s sex assigned at birth.”

We’re pretty sure that sex is not “assigned” at birth, but we can’t really blame Walgreens for getting their facts mixed up. Once you’re in the realm of telling people they get to “decide” whether they’re a boy or a girl, you’re past the point of quibbling about terminology.

The ACLU was (of course) excited about the new policy. Their South California chapter said, “Everyone needs safe restroom access, and California law protects every person’s right to access restrooms based on their gender identity in workplaces, schools, and business establishments. It’s important for businesses to make sure their employees understand that requirement, just like Walgreens is now doing.”

Under this policy, men can wander right into the women’s bathrooms and employees can’t say a word about it. They don’t have to “look” transgender. They don’t have to bother putting on a skirt and some makeup. They only have to say that they identify as female and they’re good to go. At that point, why even bother having gendered bathrooms at all? It would actually be safer to just declare them co-ed free-for-alls. Then, at least, people could make an informed decision about whether or not to go in there. The way Walgreens (and Target) have it set up, it’s basically a trick being played on the 99.9% of normal customers who don’t want to share a bathroom with someone of the opposite sex.

It would be nice to believe that America is just going through some form of temporary insanity and all of this will somehow correct itself over the next ten years, but we’re quite sure that’s not going to happen. No, this crazy trend of giving our society over to the mentally ill is going to continue under the name of LGBT rights, and we probably haven’t seen the worst of it yet. If we’ve learned anything about progressives, it’s that they always have a new kind of crazy waiting in the on-deck circle.

Batter up…
