MSNBC terrorism analyst Malcolm Nance was on AM Joy this weekend to discuss the latest media-invented scandals of the Trump administration. During his segment, Nance actually went as far as to say that military members and vets who support the president are not honorable. It’s pretty remarkable that a military analyst who suggested that “torture worked on John McCain” was fried, roasted, and fired for his remarks over on Fox News while the entire media establishment had nothing at all to say about Nance’s shockingly ignorant comments. And by “remarkable” we mean “completely predictable.”
Of course, this week liberals have been all up in arms because a White House communications aide made some crass comment about John McCain “dying soon anyway” when asked about the senator’s opposition to CIA nominee Gina Haspel. Now we’re not necessarily going to defend that joke as being in great taste, but come on. We really have to have a national dialogue about it? Chances are, every single person reading this article has heard one of their friends say something worse in the last seven days. People talk. People say stupid stuff. This is life. Get over it.
But because a few Republicans have the guts to actually defend the administration against these attacks and because not everyone in the military thinks Trump’s remarks about McCain are unforgiveable, liberals like Nance have to go overboard with screeds like this one.
“The difference between what’s going on with Trump’s military base and the rest of the military is very weird,” Nance said, as if “Trump supporting military troops” are a tiny minority.
“And these military people love him, all right?” Nance continued. “And I’m just going to come right out and say it: not honorable military veterans. Because an honorable military veteran, if they had heard this story, would have said, ‘You know what, there’s a line, and that line has now been crossed.’ But they have this cultish love of him where the love of Donald Trump exceeds the Constitution — exceeds the honor of everyone who has sacrificed and lost in this nation.”
So there you have it: According to this MSNBC shill, military veterans come in two flavors: Those who support Donald Trump and those who have honor. We’re sure that will come as quite the shock to many thousands of veterans who bravely and proudly served this nation and who also support the duly-elected President of the United States. Sorry, guys, you aren’t honorable, according to this numbskull. We’re sure that’s gotta hurt.
