More Terrorists Come From Ilhan Omar’s District Than Anywhere Else in America

If you ever wondered why any district in the United States would elect an Islamic woman with raging anti-Semitic tendencies to Congress in this age of terror and encroaching Sharia, a new Fox News report might help shed some light on the mystery. Because after a bit of digging, the conservative network discovered that Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Somalian immigrant with a shady history, actually hails from a district in which more terrorists are recruited than any other place in the United States.

“More men and boys from a Somali American community in Minneapolis have joined – or attempted to join – a foreign terrorist organization over the last 12 years than any other jurisdiction in the country,” reported Fox News. “FBI stats show 45 Somalis left to join the ranks of either the Somalia-based Islamic insurgency al-Shabab, or the Iraq- and Syria-based ISIS combined. And as of 2018, a dozen more had been arrested with the intention of leaving to support ISIS. Both numbers are far higher than those of alleged terrorist wannabes who left or attempted to leave the country from other areas in the country where Muslim refugees have been resettled.”

Omar, who represents the very district in question, has a very troubling track record of blaming anyone and everyone (other than Muslims) for Islamic terrorism. When al-Shabab launched a terrorist attack on a Kenyan shopping mall in 2013, Omar was quick to blame America for its “involvement in other people’s affairs.” And when a group of men from the Minneapolis area were accused of attempting to join the Islamic State, Omar wrote to the judge in their case pleading for leniency.

“The desire to commit violence is not inherent to people,” she wrote at the time. “It is the consequences of systematic alienation; people seek violent solutions when the process established for enacting change is inaccessible to them.”

This is not so shocking when it comes to Democrats, the party which tried to make us believe that ISIS grew because of a lack of jobs in the Middle East, but it is just more fuel to the Omar fire. In addition to demonstrating her utter contempt for Israel and a disturbing predilection for anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, she apparently believes that Islam is the last place to look for the root causes of Islamic extremism. This is the very last sort of voice we need in the United States Congress.

But then, given her constituents, it’s hardly surprising.
