A day after publicly accusing the company of wrongful terminating him based on his conservative beliefs, former Google engineer Kevin Cernekee came on Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson show on Friday to explain how the search engine giant was planning to railroad President Trump’s quest for re-election.
“Do you think Google will attempt to influence the election outcome, attempt to prevent Trump from being re-elected?” asked Carlson.
“I do believe so,” Cernekee said. “I think that’s a major threat. They have openly stated that they think 2016 was a mistake. They thought Trump should have lost in 2016. They really want Trump to lose in 2020. That’s their agenda.”
Cernekee said that Google had “very biased people running every level of the company.”
“They have quite a bit of control over the political process,” he warned. “That’s something we should really worry about.”
In their article on the interview, PJ Media explained how this wouldn’t be the first time that Google got involved in our elections:
After the 2016 election, Google’s then-head of multicultural marketing bragged about attempting to boost Latino turnout, hoping it would help Hillary Clinton. Robert Epstein, a Ph.D. psychologist who studies search engine manipulation effects, found that Google’s bias can explain Clinton’s popular vote margin of victory. A Project Veritas video showed that Google’s “fairness” project is intended to prevent another 2016. Last month, a Google engineer said the company’s search results are intentionally biased against Trump.
Cernekee claimed to have been bullied and fired for his conservative beliefs. Given the story of former Google senior software engineer James Damore, this seems plausible. A survey last year found that conservative employees in Silicon Valley tech companies live in fear that their political beliefs will be found out. James Damore said conservatives at Google are “in the closet” and that Google executives are digging through a secret mailing list in order to out them.
Imagine if Google were a right-leaning organization. The media would be sounding the alarm so loudly that you wouldn’t be able to hear anything else. The noise would be absolutely deafening. So deafening, in fact, that you wouldn’t hear a peep about the Great Russian Threat – not one solitary word. Because if you really want to talk about election interference and propaganda, this is where it’s at. Not in Russia’s lame memes and Facebook ads, but right here in the world’s most prominent information portal.
But since it favors the Democrats, we close our eyes and pretend it isn’t happening.
