Dem Socialist Congressional Candidate Calls for Breaking Into Empty Homes

Washington Democratic congressional candidate Rebecca Parson has a bold idea to get Congress to pass housing legislation: have a million people break into empty houses.

Parson, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, is running to represent Washington’s 6th Congressional District. In a video ad, she outlined what she and her followers can do if she wins.

“Imagine I proposed a Housing for All Bill in Congress, Then imagine you, me, and a million of our friends took action and occupied empty houses nationwide. They couldn’t ignore us,” Parson says in the ad.

“No one has ever done anything like this,” Parson continues. “That’s why it’s going to work.”

Fox News reached out to Parson’s campaign for details of the plan, but they did not immediately respond.

On the surface, the strategy appears to amount to trespass, a misdemeanor in Washington, although state law does say that it is a defense if the property is abandoned.

Occupying buildings is nothing new for Parson. In 2020, she was a spokesperson for the group Tacoma Housing Now, which organized a group of homeless people in 16 rooms at a motel in Fife, Washington. The group paid for one night for the rooms, then demanded that the city and state government pay as the people refused to leave, according to local KING5.

The people finally left after six days when police showed up and ordered them to get out.

Parson, who says she has been homeless herself, also has an atypical position on the minimum wage. While those in the further left part of the Democratic Party often support a $15 minimum wage, Parson would prefer to double that.

“The minimum wage shouldn’t be $7.25. It shouldn’t be $15. It should be $30,” she tweeted, adding that this “is the bare minimum in every county in the US for an adult with a kid to afford housing, food, healthcare, basic necessities.”

Parson previously ran for Congress in 2020 and lost in the primary.

  1. In other words, A totally worthless unskilled derelict, with zero point no work ethic, cleaning toilets at McDonald’s should make about the same as a Union Ironworker, who served a 5 year apprenticeship, Connection steel 160 feet straight up in the air.when it’s 26 degrees outside.

And then be able to break into a house that that Ironworker is paying for and is re-modeling before he moves his family in.

    Get a rope

  2. Rebecca Parson, you are a total slug. You must leave slime trails wherever you walk. Why don’t you go to one of the socialist/communist countries and see how long you last. As a slug is to vegetation, you are nothing more than a dredge on society.

  3. Yes lets make minimum wage $30 so every thing else can really go in price. When are democrats going to learn some thing about economics? When min wage goes up every thing else goes up with it to off set that min wage. I know people wont mind paying around $50 for a hamburger at McDonalds when they have to pay $30 min wage. As to breaking in to any building empty or not last I looked was against the law. Now if you want to get rids of laws by all means as then it will become open season of stupid people that wanted to get rid of the laws in the first place.

    • $30 sounds good. My husband and I were in downtown Baltimore this afternoon and stopped at a corned beef place for lunch. Two soft drinks, an order of fries, two sandwiches and a hot dog cost $50 and change. Thank you Joe Biden!!!

  4. And where is the money to pay that wage” All stores, etc will just up their prices again, in order to pay the wages, and there will be NO changes
    for anyone–

  5. This chick is blind, illiterate and crazy! She has no idea about economy, values or any such thing. $30/hour? That’s $60K+ annual salary! And what does she think will happen to prices? Entry-level & no-education/training jobs? Does she really think that employors will compensate that kind of pay up the ladder? Someone who’s worked at a company for 12 years? Where’s that person going to be?
Look at what’s happening to jobs now – robotics, horrible CS, stocking & cleaning not getting done.
This chick has her head WAY up her …..

  6. Rebecca Parson is a typical millennial, who has it in their head that everything should be given to them with little to minimum effort. Less then 3% of the population that works is paid minimum wage. The majority of those people are part time students who work in the food industries, waiting tables where they are paid tips.

Is Parson going to pay for the depreciation of the homeowners who pay rent or own their homes who now live next to a house that’s filled with drug addicts and gang members? I suggest that Ms. Parson let these homeless people move in with her fellow Democratic Communist Party politicians!!!’

    • Publish a Google Earth MAP of all homes of the Slime-o-crats so the worthless deadbeats can Invade THEIR personal space.
      Eat It you PUKES –

  7. It would be great if the minimum wage was $15.00 to $30.00 per hour, but not realistic, as these wages would cause there to be a lot more homeless, as the companies that increased these wages, would have to increase the price of their product, which would cause them to have a major loss in sales and bankrupt their business, thus causing a chain reaction, as all their employees would loose their home, no matter if they are leasing or buying the property, could not afford a vehicle, food and any everyday function. This is a common sense item, for those who have common sense. We already have a age group that believe they deserve to have everything given to them and this could be accomplished if we were a communist country. When I started in the work force, I started out making $.50 (50 cents) per hour, which made me strive harder to get a higher paying job, it gave me something to strive for. It made me strive to be a good employee and I increases my wages and reached a salary which I can afford to live and afford my family needs, and this makes me feel worthy and do not feel I am a drain on society. When everything is given to you, you do not appreciate it.

  8. Bring that philosophy to Florida and be sure to pack a first aid kit and possibly a body bag.

  9. Maybe Musk can put a satellite in space that would be equipped with a laser that could sever the states of Washington, Oregon and California from the continental United States and send them adrift in the ocean. Possibly some on the east coast as well.
