Could James Comey Be On His Way to a Federal Prison Cell?

In an interview with John Catismatidis on New York radio, Rudy Giuliani predicted that bad news could be coming down the pike for former FBI Director James Comey. Alluding to the any-day-now public release of the DOJ Inspector General’s report about the Hillary Clinton investigation, Giuliani even went as far as to suggest that Comey could be the subject of an upcoming indictment.

“I think the report of Horowitz and the Justice Department will confirm that Comey acted improperly with regard to the Hillary Clinton investigation,” Giuliani said on Sunday. “The first thing we are going to get is a report from Inspector General Horowitz on Comey’s handling of Hillary, which I think is going to be very, very critical of Comey – as it should be. Comey, really, has a chance of being prosecuted as a result.”

After much anticipation, Horowitz’s bombshell report is scheduled to be released to Congress on June 14. It should be available publicly on that day as well, and will surely be enough to fill a day’s worth of headlines in conservative media. The mainstream liberals may actually find their way around to covering this one, only because they are still harboring a grudge against Comey for that last-minute letter to Congress in the days leading up to the election. If the IG report is critical of Comey for THAT move (and early reports say that it will be), we’re certain that the networks will have a ball talking about it.

What they may be less interested in talking about: FBI misconduct that shows that Hillary was treated with kid gloves. Evidence that shows that Attorney General Loretta Lynch was determined to shield Hillary from bad publicity, much less prosecution. Proof that the rules of evidence collection were not followed. And ANY information that might confirm that, throughout the 2016 election, Obama’s law enforcement agencies were biased against Donald Trump. No, they’ll be only too happy to ignore all of that.

But media coverage or no media coverage, the meat of this report will remain the same. And it will be up to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Senate oversight committees to determine where we go from here. If there are recommendations in this report that people be fired and/or prosecuted, we expect Republicans from Sessions on down to follow those recommendations where appropriate. This is a time for courage in Washington. America’s faith in the justice system, torn to shreds after this entire situation, needs to be restored, and people need to be held accountable for their actions.

Including, but not limited to, Mr. Comey.
