“I’m Not Running”: Hillary Clinton Makes It Official

In an interview with Westchester’s News 12 this week, Hillary Clinton finally put all of the speculation to bed and confirmed once and for all that she will not join the roughly 626 candidates in the running for the 2020 Democratic nomination.

“I’m not running,” she said, “but I’m going to keep on working and speaking and standing up for what I believe.”

Clinton told the local news outlet that she viewed herself as something of an elder statesman in the Democratic Party at a time when American politics were veering off their proper course (a course that would have, after all, resulted in her 2016 election, right?!).

“I want to be sure that people understand I’m going to keep speaking out,” Clinton said. “I’m not going anywhere. What’s at stake in our country, the kind of things that are happening right now are deeply troubling to me. And I’m also thinking hard about how do we start talking and listening to each other again? We’ve just gotten so polarized. We’ve gotten into really opposing camps unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my adult life.”

Well, no one eases the trend of polarization like Hillary Rodham Clinton. Why, whenever we think of the politicians most likely to unify this country, she’s always at the forefront of the list.

Clinton said she would be active in speaking to the 2020 candidates and guiding them in their quest to make America liberal again.

“I’ve told every one of them, don’t take anything for granted, even though we have a long list of real problems and broken promises from this administration that need to be highlighted,” Clinton said. “People need to understand that in many cases, they were sold a bill of goods. We can’t take anything for granted. We have to work really, really hard to make our case to the American people, and I’m gonna do everything I can to help the Democrats win back the White House.”

Well, when you pause to consider that nearly everything out of this woman’s mouth is a lie, simple logic would dictate that she will indeed make another go at the White House this year. Perhaps she’s just waiting for the democratic socialism bubble to pop before she throws her hat into the ring as the True Savior of Centrist Liberalism.

Or maybe she’s finally – finally – come to the conclusion that American voters really have no interest in seeing her be president.

Nahhhhh.
