Omar and Tlaib’s Israel Trip Was Organized By Anti-Semitic Group

The more that comes out, the more it is clear than Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the right call when he barred Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib from traveling to Israel. Granted, there was a lot of evidence right from the start that made Netanyahu’s decision a sensible one, but there was still room for even supporters of Israel to view it as a move of weakness. After all, what does Israel really have to fear from these Muslim loudmouths?

But now that we have a fuller picture of the trip that was planned, we can see that Omar and Tlaib were heading there for no other reason than to undermine Israel’s legitimacy, raise tensions with their Palestinian neighbors, and cause trouble in a region where there is already plenty of it. That their trip was planned and organized by a group called Miftah only solidifies this view.

From National Review:

Miftah published an American neo-Nazi treatise called “Who Rules America: The Alien Grip on Our News and Entertainment Media Must Be Broken”.

As Vox’s Jane Coaston explained, “the original source was National Vanguard, a neo-Nazi group founded in 2005 in Charlottesville by members of the National Alliance.” The National Alliance “was for a time the best financed and best organized white nationalist group in America.” And to give you a sense of its ideology, here [is a] paragraph from the treatise:

The Jew-controlled entertainment media have taken the lead in persuading a whole generation that homosexuality is a normal and acceptable way of life; that there is nothing at all wrong with White women dating or marrying Black men, or with White men marrying Asian women; that all races are inherently equal in ability and character — except that the character of the White race is suspect because of a history of oppressing other races; and that any effort by Whites at racial self-preservation is reprehensible.

Imagine, if you will, if this group sponsored a trip of say, Rep. Steve King’s. Or any other Republican. It would be on the front pages of every major left-wing newspaper in the United States. But since Omar and Tlaib are good little progressives (and women of color, which provides them even further shelter from criticism), this escapes scrutiny. The left would rather report on Tlaib’s poor grandmother and Trump’s supposed racism than to actually dig beneath the surface.

Tlaib and Omar live to create controversy, and we don’t doubt for a moment that they are relishing every moment in the spotlight they’ve gotten from their ban. Wise observers, however, will not be fooled into thinking these two Muslim lawmakers are the victims in all of this.
