Biden Discusses His Views on Trump Tax Returns and Military Comments

Vice President Joe Biden discussed Donald Trump at length on CNN on Tuesday in an exclusive interview. Biden stated that Trump “lacks any sensibilities about the American people.” The Vice President asserted that Trump’s “ignorance is profound.” He further stated “he’s not a bad man.”

The question of Trump’s energy came up, with Biden stating, “I bet he couldn’t carry his bag 18 holes in one of his own golf courses.”

Discussing Trump’s taxes, Biden stated, “paying taxes is about making sure you did your part for the country.” The comments come at a time when the New York Times released Trump’s 1995 tax returns where he took a $916 million loss. The loss, according to the New York Times, could result in the billionaire not paying taxes over an 18-year period.

Trump’s campaign has not denied the validity of the claims.

“Since when is that a patriotic thing to do?” asked Biden when discussing Trump, potentially, not paying income taxes.

Trump has called for lower taxes for the wealthy.

The vice president said he was “working like hell for Hillary” when discussing the Democratic nominee. Trump has been in the spotlight as of late in the wake of comments of military personnel that come home with PTSD. The billionaire stated “you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it” when discussing PTSD to a veterans group on Monday.
