Biden Stumps for Clinton in Pennsylvania, Joining the Clinton Dream Team

Vice President Joe Biden joined Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail in Pennsylvania Friday, joining the Democratic nominee’s dream team of highly influential surrogates. Elizabeth Warren and President Barack Obama have both made appearances at Clinton campaign events in recent weeks.

Biden will take the stage with Clinton at a rally in Pennsylvania on Friday before headlining a campaign fundraiser later in the afternoon. The vice president will attempt to woo the working class voters – many of which are union members – Donald Trump is trying to win over.

Clinton appears to have a very distinct and strategic plan for her surrogates. Teal Baker, surrogates director for Obama’s campaign in 2008, said, “It’s obviously very targeted in terms of their profiles.”

The Clinton campaign has waited months to unleash their “dream team” of Biden, Obama and Warren, hitting the battleground states to up the ante on Clinton’s anti-Trump attacks.

Biden’s appearance on the campaign trail is a sign that Democrats are moving into the next phase, with former President Bill Clinton and possibly Bernie Sanders and Michelle Obama making a case against Donald Trump.

With the Republican Party yet to unify behind Trump, Clinton is taking this ample opportunity to pull out her best players and make her case in key battleground states.
