Trump Points to Orlando Massacre as Proof of Muslin Ban Necessity

Donald Trump, presumptive Republican nominee, used the Orlando Massacre, which left 50 people dead following a terrorist attack early Sunday morning, as proof of a need to ban Muslims from the country. ISIS quickly took credit for the attack, and Trump jumped at the chance to comment on the terrorist attack, stating, “I said this was going to happen – and it is only going to get worse.”

“In his remarks today, President Obama disgracefully refused to even say the words ‘Radical Islam.’ For that reason alone, he should step down,” said Trump.

Trump attacked presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, stating she should end her race for presidency if she can’t say the words ‘Radical Islam.’ Trump famously called a ban on all Muslims entering the country early in his campaign for presidency and reiterated the need to ban Muslims. The Orlando attacker was born in New York.

The attacks occurred at a LGBT nightclub in Orlando. The shooter, Omar Mateen, moved to Florida after being born in New York and married in New Jersey previously. The shooter reportedly called 911 from the club’s bathroom to claim he is part of ISIS before the massacre occurred.

Mateen had been on the FBI’s radar, according to sources. The attacks are marked as the deadliest terror attacks on US soil since 9/11 occurred.
